How to properly cook turkey cutlets for children? Turkey cutlets for children Turkey cutlets for children 2 years old

Meat must be present in the diet of children. It fills the body with necessary proteins and useful elements, restores strength and improves tone, strengthens the immune system. Meat and meat dishes prevent the development of anemia, stimulate the growth of cells and tissues, brain function, and improve appetite. Meat is introduced into complementary foods for infants at the age of 8 months. Children on artificial or mixed feeding are given this product as early as six months.

The best dish for a child would be turkey puree. For the first time, give your baby 10 ml of meat puree to try and watch the reaction for two days. If you notice problems with digestion, bowel movements, or other negative reactions, postpone administration and consult a doctor. You can try again no earlier than in a month.

If there is no negative reaction, you can continue to introduce turkey dishes into your baby’s diet. Gradually increase the portion to 100-120 ml. Give meat in the first half of the day so that the product is easier to absorb and digest in the baby’s body. Each time it is better to prepare a new portion so that the food retains as much vitamins and beneficial elements as possible. If necessary, prepared meat puree or other dish for babies can be stored in the refrigerator for no more than a day.

Give your baby warm food. Hot food can burn the delicate esophagus, and a cold dish loses half of its beneficial properties. After the puree, you can introduce other dishes, including cutlets and meatballs, broth and turkey soups, stews and salads.

How to cook turkey for kids

Turkey for children should be served stewed, boiled, baked or steamed. Eliminate fried foods from your diet, as they are difficult to digest, often disrupt digestion and lead to excess weight. In addition, hot spices and seasonings should not be used for cooking; salt and pepper are also best avoided for babies under one year of age. After 10-12 months, food can be lightly salted and peppered.

Give preference to fresh meat, turkey fillet and breast. You can also use homemade minced poultry to make cutlets or meatballs. By the way, it’s better to start with small meatballs, as they are easier to chew. Turkey meatballs for children can be served with vegetable puree, rice, pasta, buckwheat, or placed in soup.

Start complementary feeding with purees. To prepare the puree, boil the meat and pass it through a meat grinder or grind it in a blender. You can lightly salt it and add a little vegetable oil for taste. If necessary, the puree is diluted with water, vegetable broth, breast milk or formula.

Many people are interested in how long to cook a turkey for a child. As a rule, cooking time takes 1.5-2 hours. For children, first cook the meat for half an hour, then drain the water and add new water, then cook for another 1.5 hours. It is enough to cook the fillet for 30-40 minutes after draining the water. Meat broth is better, as it negatively affects the child’s digestion and irritates the mucous membrane of the intestines and stomach. If you are preparing turkey soup for a child, boil the meat separately, chop it and add it to the prepared broth with vegetables.

It is better not to give babies ready-made baby food or canned meat for children, as they contain various additives. It is not recommended to cook offal, although tongue and liver are very useful due to the large amount of iron. However, they accumulate toxic substances, so it is better to include by-products in the diet after three years.

And this despite the fact that we basically don’t have any sweets in our house. But as soon as a child tried “kasek” for a holiday, the person firmly remembered that it was sweet and tasty =)

The persistent mother and no less stubborn father of the most beautiful girl on planet Earth continue to instill in the child a taste for proper and healthy foods. And this most beautiful child first devours meat purees from jars of baby food by both cheeks (not purees carefully prepared by his mother, but exclusively factory canned food), and when joyful parents buy jars for future use, he flatly refuses them, demanding a piece of meat from his father’s plate. If you sit in your grandfather’s arms, you can also lick a pepper pod, which grandfather eats as a snack with borscht. And even at this, do not cry, but only wince firmly: after all, the grandfather strictly warned that it is impossible! =)

Having eaten my fill of my daughter’s baby purees, I decided that’s enough. If he wants to eat what we eat, let him eat. I fry cutlets very rarely, I only cook them in the oven or steam them, which is quite suitable for a child. Baked cutlets are still not quite suitable for a baby’s stomach, but steamed turkey cutlets with cheese are just right.

My husband and I also don’t mind trying the delicious, juicy and very tender baby turkey cutlets with cheese that I cook for our daughter =)

Steamed cutlets with cheese for children - ingredients:

  • Turkey breast fillet - 400 g
  • Onion - 70 g
  • Bread - 30 g
  • Hard cheese - 100 g
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Quail eggs - 3 pcs
  • Salt - to taste
  • Greens - optional

For these cutlets, I always take a piece of wheat loaf. It is advisable to dry the bread, otherwise the cutlets will be sticky. For example, in the evening I cut off a piece of loaf and leave it on the table, and in the morning I cook cutlets. Cheese - any hard cheese to taste. I don't add any spices and add minimal salt.

Steamed turkey cutlets in a slow cooker - recipe:

Grind the fillet in a blender. I make it smaller to make it more fluffy.

Soak the bread in milk and squeeze lightly. Grind the onion in a blender.

Mix the minced meat, bread, chopped onion and quail eggs in a bowl until smooth.

Grate the cheese on a fine grater, add to the cutlet mass, and add salt.

Mix again. Beat the minced meat: smack it forcefully into the bowl several times. This will make the cutlets more fluffy.

We form the minced meat into cutlets and place them on the steamer rack. Cook in a double boiler or steamed slow cooker.

Today the bunny has a sweet carrot as a side dish =) Decorate the porridge on a plate and just chew it like candy =)

I cook steamed turkey cutlets for children for about 40 minutes.

I know that my friend steams baby cutlets for at least an hour. While turkey needs 25 minutes. In choosing the middle ground, I think I'm doing the right thing: 1 hour is too long and 25 minutes is too short for steaming baby turkey cutlets with cheese.
