Venotonics (venotonic preparations): types, tablets, ointments, suppositories. The best venotonics (tablets, ointments, creams, gels, balms, herbs, food) Venotonics on a plant basis

Dear friends, hello!

Today we will talk about venotonics:

  • What are they doing?
  • What is the difference between Detralex and Phlebodia?
  • Benefits of Detralex.
  • What should the buyer be warned about when selling a venotonic?
  • What is the difference between Venarus and Detralex?
  • What is the difference between Flebaven and Detralex?
  • When is the best time to offer a drug based on diosmin alone?
  • What questions should the buyer ask?
  • How to take venotonic drugs correctly?
  • Features of some popular external venotonics.

First, let me remind you of a few basic things that you need to know.

First. People with varicose veins are not born. There are congenital anomalies of the venous system, but this is very rare. The problem appears from the age of 18. Therefore, these funds are prescribed, as a rule, also from the age of 18.

Second. If a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother had varicose veins, then, most likely, one bastard got into the set of genes, who is guilty of violating the ratio of collagen and elastin proteins in the venous wall. Yes, don't be surprised. These proteins are not only found in the skin. And they, as you know, are responsible for strength and elasticity, i.e. the ability of the venous wall to return to its original state after stretching.

Third. Veins have valves that open and close. They are needed so that the blood in the veins flows strictly from the bottom up.

Fourth. There are muscle fibers in the venous wall, which, by contracting, help the movement of blood.

Fifth. Veins really like it when we walk, and really don't like it when we sit or stand most of the day. When we walk, the muscles of the legs work, compress the veins passing through them and, like a pump, pump blood up. And when we sit or stand, the blood runs reluctantly through the veins. There is a relative stagnation of blood. The pressure in the veins rises, the blood presses on the venous walls, and they begin to stretch. The diameter of the veins increases, and the venous valves can no longer close. As a result, blood flows both up and down. The reverse flow of blood in venous disease is called venous reflux.

Sixth. As a result of vein expansion and blood stagnation, the permeability of their walls increases, the liquid part of the blood enters the intercellular space (hence the swelling and heaviness in the legs) and squeezes small vessels - capillaries, through which oxygen and nutrients are exchanged between blood and surrounding tissues. Microcirculation is disturbed, i.e. this same exchange. Leg tissues begin to experience oxygen starvation.

Seventh. Not receiving sufficient nutrition, part of the collagen and elastin fibers in the venous wall dies. The wall of the veins becomes thinner and loses elasticity.

Eighth. In conditions of oxygen deficiency, endothelial cells of the venous wall begin to produce inflammatory mediators. They increase the “stickiness” of leukocytes to the venous wall, destroy its collagen fibers, and contribute to the formation of free radicals that begin to destroy everything around.

What are venotonics?

Venotonics (phlebotonics) are drugs that improve the condition of the vascular wall.

They do two main things:

Venotonic- increase the tone, i.e. tension of the venous wall, and due to this, they reduce the extensibility of the veins and prevent stagnation of blood in the veins.

Angioprotective- increase the resistance of capillaries to damage, improve microcirculation, and hence the nutrition of the vascular wall.

Venotonic preparations are mainly used for and for the treatment of acute, because. at the same time, venous outflow is also disturbed, but only through the veins of the rectum.

Venotonic preparations for oral administration

This is the original preparation of flavonoids diosmin and hesperidin.

Flavonoids are substances that are part of plants and are involved in photosynthesis, protecting plants from the harmful effects of the environment. They provide their coloring and attractive appearance.

In fact, Detralex contains 5 flavonoids, but the main ones are diosmin and hesperidin.

What does "" drug mean? This means that with such a composition, he appeared on the market first. Manufacturers conjured over it for 10-15 years in order to select the most optimal composition, dosage, form of release, maximize its bioavailability, and then carefully research it for effectiveness and safety.

What effects can be expected from taking Detralex?

For venous disease:

  • Reduced pain, swelling.
  • Less leg cramps.
  • Decrease heaviness, fatigue in the legs, feeling of fullness.
  • With venous trophic ulcers, healing is faster.

For hemorrhoids:

Reduced pain, bleeding (due to the strengthening of the vascular wall).

Composition of Detralex

Detralex 500 (tablets p/o):

  • Diosmin 450 mg
  • 4 other flavonoids including hesperidin 50 mg

Detralex 1000 (tablets p/o):

  • Diosmin 900 mg
  • 4 other flavonoids including hesperidin 100 mg

1 sachet of suspension has the same composition as Detralex 1000.

Important:

In the production of Detralex, a special micronization technology: under the action of a jet of air, the particle size of the active substances is reduced to 2 microns. This improves their absorption in the digestive tract and increases the bioavailability of the drug.

Since there are many visitors on the blog who are far from medicine, I will explain:

Bioavailability is the amount of a drug that has reached its site of action in the body. In this case, the venous wall.

Therefore, the higher the bioavailability, the higher the therapeutic efficacy of the drug.

Contraindications:

  • Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
  • Lactation.

How to take Detralex for vein disease?

Detralex 500:

1 ton in the middle of the day and in the evening with meals. Although I did not find any arguments in favor of taking the drug during the day (and not in the morning), and in the evening. I could still understand this point if Detralex was quickly excreted from the body. But no. The half-life is 11 hours.

Moreover, I climbed phlebological forums: doctors recommend taking 2 tablets once in the morning with meals.

But it is better to start with a double dose to check the tolerability of the drug.

In my opinion, Detralex 500 is optimally offered to those who have experienced allergic reactions to drugs in the past, so that a person receives a lower dosage of the substances that make up the drug once.

Detralex 1000 and suspension:

1 t. or a sachet of suspension 1 time per day (in the morning with meals).

Course for venous disease - at least two months. The drug can be taken without interruption for up to 12 months.

The effect is dose-dependent!

Drink for 2 weeks and quit because “it doesn’t help” is throwing money away. The first results in the treatment with Detralex appear after 2-4 weeks.

The risk on the tablet is not made so that the dosage can be reduced, but solely so that it can be divided to make it easier to take if a person has difficulty swallowing tablets and does not like suspensions.

How to take Detralex for hemorrhoids?

- 2 tons 3 times a day for 4 days, then 2 tons 2 times a day for 3 days.

Detralex 1000 - 1 ton or sachet in the morning, afternoon and evening for 4 days, then 1 ton or sachet in the morning and evening for 3 days.

For exacerbation of hemorrhoids, offer Detralex 1000 № 18 tablets- exactly as much is required for the course.

To consolidate the effect in chronic hemorrhoids, the drug is taken 1 ton per day for 1-2 months.

Adverse reactions

  • Dizziness, malaise.
  • , nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain.
  • Skin itching, urticaria, swelling of the face, lips.

Not marked.

Benefits of Detralex

  • This is an original drug that has undergone many clinical studies that have proven its effectiveness and safety.
  • Particles of active substances (unlike most analogs) have a microscopic size. This improves their absorption in the digestive tract and increases therapeutic efficacy.
  • As part of the drug - 5 substances (flavonoids), which enhance the effect of each other. Therefore, it can be expected that pain, swelling, fatigue, heaviness and cramps in the legs will go away faster than when taking products containing a single component.
  • New forms of release for oral administration (Detralex 1000 and suspension) allow you to take the drug for vein disease only 1 time per day.
  • With difficulty swallowing tablets, there is Detralex in the form of a suspension.
  • The drug is usually well tolerated. It rarely gives adverse reactions.
  • Detralex is compatible with other drugs.
  • Can be pregnant.

Questions to the buyer when selling Detralex

Given what I said above, when selling Detralex, ask the buyer questions:

  1. Are you allergic to other medicines? (suggest 500 or 1000 mg?)
  2. Do you prefer tablets or suspension?

What should the buyer be warned about when selling Detralex?

  1. Take the drug with food so that there are no side effects (meaning abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
  2. The first results will be noticeable no earlier than in 2 weeks.
  3. The course of treatment should be at least 2 months. More is better: 3-4-6 months for the result to be stable.
  4. , swelling, leg cramps will go away faster if you wear. Do you have it? (we make a "bridge" to).

Synonymous replacement:

Venarus, Flebaven

Differences between Venarus and Detralex

  1. This is a generic, i.e. there are no sufficient and “correct” clinical studies of its safety and efficacy. What is "correct"? This means not ordered by the manufacturer, but honest. This study is called a "double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled" trial.
  2. The composition of the active ingredients is the same, but the quantitative composition of the excipients of the shell is different. This can reduce the therapeutic efficacy of the drug and give more side effects.
  3. The flavonoids in Venarus are not micronized (not crushed). Therefore, the bioavailability of the drug is lower.
  4. No suspension form - Venarus is not suitable for those who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
  5. There is no release form for the treatment of acute hemorrhoids, because. the course requires 36 tablets of Venarus 500 or 18 tablets of Venarus 1000. The buyer will have to overpay: either purchase 60 tablets. Venarus 500 (or 30 + 20, which is even more uneconomical), or 30 tab. Venarus 1000.

Differences between Flebaven and Detralex

  1. This is a generic. I did not find any "honest" clinical studies on it.
  2. Only one dosage - 500 mg, then take 2 tons per day.
  3. There is no suspension form - the drug is inconvenient for those who have difficulty swallowing.
  4. The qualitative and quantitative composition of excipients is different. All this (no doubt) affects the therapeutic efficacy of the drug and its safety.
  5. The manufacturer decided to distinguish himself by inventing a release form of 32 and 64 tablets. What's the point of this?
  6. There is no convenient formulation for the treatment of acute hemorrhoids.

Some of my thoughts:

The manufacturer writes that this is the only Detralex generic in which flavonoids are micronized.

I don’t know how they micronized them there, and what particle size they got in the end.

But one thing I know for sure: not a single manufacturer of the original drug will reveal the secrets of its production technology.

People are now obsessed with cheap analogues, but they don’t understand one thing: it’s better not to buy sausages, not to go to McDonald’s, save on beer, cigarettes and other nasty things, but saving on your health can be very expensive.

Judging by the reviews, Flebaven often gives allergic reactions and abdominal pain.

Phlebodia 600

Contains only diosmin.

Surprisingly, in the instructions we read that the drug not only reduces the extensibility of the veins, increases their tone, improves microcirculation, but also has an anti-inflammatory effect, blocks the production of free radicals, reduces the adhesion of leukocytes to the venous wall and the delivery of oxygen to it.

I wonder why this is not said about Detralex?

The manufacturer also writes that after administration, diosmin accumulates in the venous wall and remains there for up to 96 hours!

The indications are the same.

Contraindications

  • Increased sensitivity.
  • Persons under 18 years of age.
  • Lactation.

Pregnant women - only on prescription. I think the manufacturer is just playing it safe. But still, for you, this means that it is not necessary to recommend it during pregnancy.

How to use?

For venous disease:

1 ton in the morning before meals for 2 months.

For acute hemorrhoids:

The first 4 days, 1 t. 3 times a day with meals, 3 days, 1 t. 2 times a day. For this we choose pack of 18 tablets.

In chronic hemorrhoids, continue taking 1 t. 1 time per day for 1-2 months.

The question arises: why, in case of vein disease, should it be taken BEFORE meals, and in case of hemorrhoids - DURING? As usual, there are no explanations for this. Sometimes you wonder at the illogicality of what the manufacturer writes. Maybe you have some thoughts on this?

Side effects:

  • Heartburn, nausea, abdominal pain.
  • Headache.

It turns out that when taking Phlebodia, there are fewer side effects. And this is understandable: it contains not five, but one flavonoid. This time. And the daily dosage of diosmin is less. This is two.

Drug interaction:

Not marked.

To summarize:

Differences between Flebodia and Detralex

  1. It contains only one flavonoid, diosmin.
  2. The daily dosage of diosmin is less.
  3. Diosmin is not micronized, i.e. not crushed, therefore, begins to act more slowly than Detralex. But the action lasts up to 4 days.
  4. Phlebodia not only prevents the expansion of veins, improves blood circulation in the capillaries, but also has an anti-inflammatory effect, improves the nutrition of the venous wall, and thereby slows down its damage.
  5. Gives fewer side effects.
  6. No suspension form: inconvenient for those who have difficulty swallowing tablets.

When is the best time to offer a drug based on diosmin alone?

The manufacturer of the drug Detralex assures that the effect is dose-dependent, and the effective dosage of diosmin is 900 mg per day.

Phlebodia contains 600 mg of diosmin. Once I took both the one and the other, and for some reason I liked Flebodia more: the pain and heaviness in the legs decreased faster.

But logically speaking, I would suggest a drug based on one diosmin in the following cases:

  1. When the buyer purchases a venotonic for the first time.
  2. When there are minor symptoms of vein disease: heaviness in the legs, swelling of the legs in the evening, fatigue. For pain, swelling, cramps, protruding varicose veins, it is better to offer Detralex.
  3. If a person is allergic to many medicines.
  4. If the buyer had abdominal pain, diarrhea, rash, headache while taking Detralex.

But this is solely my opinion.

Questions to the buyer

Therefore, if a client asks for something “for veins” or “for heaviness in the legs”, ask:

  • What else worries you: leg muscle cramps at night, swelling, pain? Heaviness in the legs and fatigue only in the evening? No bulging veins on the legs?
  • Has anything been used before? What was the effect? Were there any adverse reactions?
  • Are you allergic to any medications?

Synonymous replacement of Phlebodia:

Venolek, Vasoket, Phlebotha, Diosmin.

Features of the drug Flebofa

This is a drug of diosmin without a film shell - therefore it is logical to assume that there will be fewer side effects, because. it usually contains dyes.

Differences between Flebofa and Flebodia:

  • The quantitative and qualitative composition of excipients is different. This may affect therapeutic efficacy.
  • Only one form of release - 30 tablets, designed for a month of admission.

Everything else is the same as Phlebodia.

Features of the drug Venolek

It contains not 600 mg of diosmin, like Phlebodia and Phlebof, but 500 mg.

Despite the difference in composition, the instructions were almost completely “licked off” from Detralex.

The same farm. action, the same indications, contraindications, side effects.

It is taken similarly to the drug Detralex 500: 1 t. 2 times a day, for acute hemorrhoids - according to the Detralex scheme.

Troxevasin

Old, but very effective product.

The composition contains a mixture of derivatives of rutin (vitamin P) - a substance that also belongs to flavonoids and improves the condition of blood vessels.

His "chips":

  1. It has a decongestant and anti-inflammatory effect (not counting the fact that it increases the tone of the veins and reduces capillary fragility).
  2. Prevents aggregation (gluing) of platelets and reduces the likelihood of blood clots. With varicose veins, this is very important, because. complications of varicose veins - thrombophlebitis, deep vein thrombosis.
  3. The half-life is 24 hours (against 11 hours of Detralex).
  4. Contraindications - only hypersensitivity.
  5. Side effects - nothing criminal: rarely allergic reactions.

How to use?

1 caps. 2 times a day with meals. If there are cramps in the legs at night, then it is optimal to take it at bedtime and in the morning. After improvement, they switch to a single dose of 1 caps. per day for a long time (several months).

drug interaction

Not marked.

Nothing is said about pregnant and lactating women.

Synonymous replacement:

Troxerutin.

Antistax

His "chips":

The active substance is an extract of red grape leaves (essentially the same flavonoids).

The therapeutic effect is rather modest:

  • Strengthens the walls of blood vessels.
  • Reduces their permeability.
  • As a result, it slows down the formation of edema and reduces existing edema.

Contraindications:

  • Increased sensitivity.
  • Age up to 18 years.

How to use?

2 caps. 1 time per day before meals in the morning. If the effect is insufficient, the dose can be increased to 4 caps. in a day.

Course 12 weeks.

Side effects:

  • Rash, itching, hives.
  • Discomfort in the stomach, nausea.

drug interaction

Popular external remedies for vein diseases

Troxevasin gel

Contains troxerutin (a derivative of rutin). Apply 2 times a day.

Somehow he surprised me a lot when he quickly relieved leg cramps. Never considered it as a means of ambulance. Mom advised me to try, because. no massage, walking on toes and other manipulations with the distraught calf muscles did not help.

And a miracle happened.

After that, I had a lot of respect for him.

Troxevasin Neo

In addition to troxerutin, it contains heparin and dexpanthenol. This means that it will still prevent the formation of blood clots and restore damaged tissues. Both the one and the other Troxevasin are optimally combined with taking capsules.

Venolife gel

The composition is identical to Troxevasin Neo, but differs in the number of active ingredients: it contains much more heparin. Therefore, it is best recommended for thrombophlebitis, after deep vein thrombosis, with severe symptoms of varicose veins (pain, swelling, cramps, varicose veins), hematomas.

Contains heparin, escin and essential phospholipids. It prevents thrombosis, increases the tone of the veins, reduces swelling, improves tissue regeneration.

When you are asked for an external remedy for vein disease, ask the customer:

- What do you take inside?

External agents must be used only in combination with systemic drugs, because they act only on superficial veins of small diameter and capillaries.

I'm rounding up on this.

Is everything clear? Write, supplement, comment, share a link to this article with your colleagues.

Venotonics are drugs designed to resist the destruction of the structure of the venous wall.

What diseases do veins need support for?

When we talk about vascular diseases, we mean arteries, veins or capillaries. More often, the lesion begins predominantly from one of the species, but extends to the entire bloodstream. Recall that oxygen and nutrients are delivered to the tissues through the arteries, and through the capillaries they reach the cellular level.

The venous system is designed to carry out the removal of waste material, carbon dioxide through vessels of a certain type. They differ from arterial ones in their adaptation to work against gravity.

Any mechanical obstruction in the path of the veins can cause impaired patency and blood stasis. In addition, without the support of muscles, nerve impulses and strong heart contractions, the venous system cannot cope with the load. The clinical picture depends on the location of the pathology.

The choice of venotonics for the treatment of migraine is more justified than taking antispasmodic drugs

One of the causes of headaches, nausea, dizziness with migraine, tumors of the skull is a disturbed venous outflow from the brain. A common disease, varicose veins of the lower extremities, occurs when there is a violation of the venous outflow from the vessels of the legs. Hemorrhoids with prolapsed nodes and an expanded network of the outer and inner rings are also a type of varicose veins. In this case, the venous outflow from the lower rectum does not work properly.

Pregnancy is not a disease, but a woman's condition is often on the verge of pathology. The pressure of the uterus on the organs and vessels of the small pelvis creates the conditions for the development of hemorrhoids and varicose veins on the legs. Venotonics help to endure pregnancy without complications.

What should be venotonics

Medicinal preparations of venotonics are necessary in the complex treatment of these diseases. The best remedies should:

  • consist of safe components (advantages on the side of herbal remedies);
  • not have a harmful effect on internal organs;
  • have a sufficient duration of action;
  • well combined with different drugs, with other methods of treatment.

A convenient form of application and an affordable price are also an important feature of drugs for vascular tone.

Semi-synthetic drug based on rutin, "extracted" from the leaves and flowers of buckwheat, Japanese sophora buds or odorous rue

Classification

The classification divides venotonics according to the method of exposure and applications into external agents - creams, ointment-based preparations - and internal ones - tablets, capsules, ampoules for injection.

Rectal suppositories in action are internal, but according to the method of use they are closer to external types, since they do not affect the stomach and intestines in any way.

Types of drugs

By composition, all venotonics are classified into pharmaceutical groups:

  • herbal preparations, these include products containing flavonoids and saponins;
  • medicines from rutoside;
  • combined preparations containing simultaneously drugs that affect blood clotting, anti-inflammatory drugs, painkillers, herbal and synthetic components;
  • synthesized from chemicals;
  • polyvalent drugs that correct various mechanisms of venous damage.

Flavonoids are herbal remedies with biological activity. Preparations based on them include: Detralex, Diosmin, Venarus, Vasoket.

Saponins are natural glycosides from medicinal plants (digitis, calendula, licorice, chestnut, ginseng). They have the ability to prevent blood clotting. This group includes: Aescusan, Herbion esculus, Aescin.

Rutosides are distinguished by pharmacologists as a separate group, although they are also glycosides, because they have a high content of vitamin P. They are used to prepare drugs such as Rutin, Troxevasin, Venoruton, Troxerutin. Drugs purposefully act on the muscle fibers of the veins.

The group of combined agents includes Doppelherz, Troxevasin Neo, Vitrum Memory, Venorm, Angionorm.

Synthetic venotonics include drugs, the content of tribenoside, calcium salts. These are preparations Glivenol, Tribenozide, Calcium Dobesilat.

Modern drugs with a lymphotropic effect are called polyvalent. Their mechanism of action is carried out in the following ways:

  • increased discharge of the liquid part of venous blood into the lymphatic vessels;
  • restoration of the tone of the muscular layer of the veins;
  • activation of blood circulation in small arterioles and capillaries.

In this way, stagnation in the veins is facilitated, peripheral edema is removed. This group includes Detralex, Troxevasin, Aescusan.

What drugs are used for stagnation in the veins of the head

The most common cause of congestion in the vessels of the brain are changes in the muscles of the neck with osteochondrosis, impaired cerebral circulation. In treatment, it is very important to prevent platelets from sticking together. Aescusan, Detralex, Phlebodia 600 have the desired effect.

Aescusan is made from horse chestnut, produced in drops and tablets. It has a general effect on the entire venous system. Gels Gerbion esculus and Venitan were created on the same basis. They are recommended to be rubbed into the collar zone. The most effective is the simultaneous use of internal and external forms. The price of a bottle of 20 ml is 150 rubles.

In Detralex, the active substances are the flavonoids hesperidin and diosmin from citrus fruits. The drug enters the distribution network from France, so it is the most expensive in price (a package of 30 tablets costs about 700 rubles).

The drug is considered to be the most effective

Phlebodia 600 is also produced in France, it is based only on diosmin. The price of 30 tablets is 800 rubles.

Venotonics in the treatment of varicose veins of the legs

With the initial manifestations of varicose veins (mesh on the legs), in addition to ingestion of the most effective drugs of general action described, the Russian analogues of Detralex are recommended - Venozol (tablets and capsules from 300 to 530 rubles, gel - 130) and Venarus. The preparations use the combined properties of flavonoids and medicinal herbs.

Troxevasin has long been used in the treatment of legs with good results (capsules 350 rubles per pack, gel - 220). The active substance is troxerutin. Recommended for both indoor and outdoor use. Produced in Switzerland and Bulgaria.

Venoruton-gel is a Swiss drug in 40 ml tubes, based on rutoside, the price is from 200 to 400 rubles. You can also take tablets or capsules.

Lyoton is a gel containing heparin. Most indicated for thrombophlebitis of external veins. Produced by Germany. The cost is from 300 rubles.

Antistax is a gel for rubbing into the skin, the main substance is an extract from red grape leaves. Has antioxidant properties. A tube of 125 ml costs 1000 rubles, a package of 20 tablets - 600.

Member of the flavonoid class

What can be used for hemorrhoids

Ointments are recommended for the treatment of external hemorrhoids. With internal varicose veins in combination with mucosal fissures, rectal suppositories of combined action (support for veins, pain relief, inflammation relief, prevention of thrombosis) are the most suitable.

Venotonics for hemorrhoids are also prescribed orally in the form of tablets or capsules.

Glivenol is available for internal use in capsules (130 rubles for 20 capsules) and in the form of Procto-Glivenol in suppositories and ointments (10 suppositories - 550 rubles). The basis of the drug is the substance tribenoside.

Ginkor Procto - candles with butamben and Ginkgo biloba extract, have a tonic effect on pelvic varicose veins, quickly relieve pain. Surgeons recommend after surgery (price from 130 rubles per pack).

Supplements with a tonic effect

We often see advertisements with advice to use Doppelhertz and Shungite supplements. When purchasing these drugs, you need to be aware that you need to take them for years and constantly. These are not drugs. There is no evidence base for their effectiveness.

Doppelhertz is available in liquid form, packs of 250 ml (price 400 rubles), 1000 ml. As part of exclusively vegetable raw materials, extracts from mountain ash, blueberries, grape leaves, needles, hawthorn, St. John's wort, valerian root, lemon balm, rosemary and sage. The drug is enriched with vitamins B 2 and B 6.

It is indicated as a venotonic for hemorrhoids, in the complex treatment of diseases of the heart and blood vessels. Applied inside.

Shungite is available as a balm in a tube of 75 ml (200 rubles). The composition combines the action of a natural mineral substance (shungite) with rutin and plant extracts of cinquefoil, horse chestnut, Japanese Sophora, burdock root, St. John's wort, calendula, willow, wheat shoots.

The action is enhanced by Ginkgo biloba and essential oils of fir, lavender, tea tree, citrus fruits. Used in rubbing, compresses.

What venotonics can be used during pregnancy

For the treatment of pregnant women, doctors try to do with light herbal preparations that do not affect the tone of the uterus and the development of the fetus. An obstetrician-gynecologist will help you choose the right venotonics during pregnancy, taking into account the trimester. At the beginning of the term (the first 12 weeks), only external gels can be used for rubbing into the skin of the legs. From the second trimester, the doctor allows the use of Detralex, Troxevasin, Phlebodia 600.

These venotonics based on troxerutin, diosmin or hesperidin are the least dangerous for the mother and fetus.

Treatment of venous diseases is carried out by a phlebologist. In case of difficulties in the selection of drugs, you should contact him for a consultation.

Reviews on the use of venotonics speak of personal experience and preferences:

Let me add to your phrase: “Aescusan, Detralex, Phlebodia 600 have the desired effect.” In addition to these expensive tablets, there is an excellent domestic analogue with the same active ingredient Diosmin and Hesperidin "is called the drug FLEBOFA. Only it costs several times cheaper, and the manufacturer has launched a 1 + 1 program, which allows you to immediately buy pills for a course of treatment. Those. 60 tablets for the price of 30.

I prefer new Russian developments on a completely plant basis (then the kidneys and liver do not have to be treated). I share: a new drug venotonic GORKHON 60caps 1100 rubles (for 2 months of admission). As part of the flavonoids diosmin + rutin 500mg per 1 caps. Sold in specialized stores Siberian health. You can add an external venotonic cream to it (menthol, hesperidin, lysolecithin, winter-loving oil) 75ml for 199 rubles

Now a venotonic gel has appeared in Russia, which is allowed for pregnant women at any time. Absolutely natural and safe. It is called VENADORONE, the company is Weleda, it is sold in pharmacies.

The best venotonics (tablets, ointments, creams, gels, balms, herbs, food)

Modern venotonics: general characteristics

Venotonic preparations - what is it

  • thrombus formation;
  • thromboembolism (blockage of arterial trunks by thrombotic masses detached from the vessel wall);
  • violation of the normal nutrition of surrounding tissues with the formation of trophic ulcers;
  • infectious and inflammatory complications;
  • bleeding from dilated thinned vessels.

Severe forms of venous insufficiency, as well as complications that have arisen, are treated mainly surgically. In the early stages of the disease, venotonics are one of the main methods of treatment.

  • prevention (at subclinical stages of the disease);
  • relief of the main symptoms of the disease (pain, swelling, heaviness in the affected area, etc.);
  • preventing complications;
  • before and after surgery for venous insufficiency.

Mechanism of action of venotonics. Venotonics of polyvalent action with lymphotropic effect

1. Venotropic substances, mainly increasing the contraction of the muscle elements of the venous wall.

2. Venotropic substances, mainly improving blood circulation (reducing plasma leakage into the surrounding tissues).

  • increase the tone of venous vessels;
  • improve blood circulation in the surrounding tissues due to the normalization of blood flow in the smallest vessels;
  • prevent the formation of blood clots;
  • have an anti-inflammatory effect;
  • reduce swelling of tissues, normalizing the state of lymphatic outflow.

Classification of venotonics

List of venotonics

1. Venotonics based on flavonoids - diosmin and hesperidin. They have a systemic effect, are intended for oral administration (tablet forms).

  • Diosmin-based venotonics (Diosmin, Phlebodia 600, Vasoket, Diovenor 600).
  • Venotonics based on a combination of diosmin and hesperidin (Detralex, Venarus).

2. Pharmaceutical preparations containing a synthetic analogue of the flavonoid rutin - troxerutin (Troxevasin, Troxevenol, Troxerutin). The most "ancient" practice-tested group includes both drugs for oral administration and dosage forms intended for topical use.

3. Medicines based on pentoxifylline. Increase the tone of venous vessels by reducing the permeability of capillaries. Significantly improve tissue trophism. Unlike the above groups of drugs, they have serious contraindications, side effects are more common.

4. Preparations from medicinal raw materials (phytotablets, as well as creams, ointments and balms containing juices, extracts and vegetable oils).

Venotonic tablets Detralex are intended for the treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities, as well as acute and chronic hemorrhoids.

  • gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, constipation, cramping abdominal pain);
  • disorders of the central nervous system (headache, dizziness, weakness);
  • skin rashes of an allergic nature (urticaria, allergic dermatitis).

Animal studies have not found any toxic effects on the fetus or disruption of pregnancy. But since the components of the drug are able to cross the placenta, doctors do not recommend taking Detralex in the first trimester of pregnancy (the first 12 weeks, starting from the first day of the last menstruation), when the embryo is especially sensitive to any adverse effects.

Which venotonic tablets are better: Detralex, Venarus or venotonic Phlebodia 600

A specialist doctor will help you choose the right venotonic. However, it is often possible to determine which active ingredient will have the best effect on the body - hesperedin present in Detralex and Venarus tablets or an increased amount of diosmin in Phlebodia - often only during practical use.

Venotonics in violation of venous outflow of various localization: indications, rules of admission, reviews (answers to the most popular questions about the treatment of various forms of venous insufficiency)

Can venotonics for the legs prevent the development of varicose veins

  • features of the functioning of the hormonal system;
  • childbearing (increased load on the venous system during pregnancy);
  • more common inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs, which contribute to the development of venous congestion;
  • the use of uncomfortable high-heeled shoes and clothing that restricts the outflow of blood from the lower extremities.

Varicose veins are associated with upright posture and are exclusively a "human" pathology; scientists have not been able to experimentally cause varicose veins in animals. Therefore, this pathology often affects people who are forced to stay in an upright position for a long time (sellers, bartenders, etc.).

  • timely treatment of all concomitant diseases that contribute to the development of varicose veins;
  • normalization of weight;
  • compliance with the rules of occupational health;
  • mobile lifestyle;
  • giving up bad habits (abuse of high-heeled shoes, the habit of sitting cross-legged, etc.).

Venotonics are recommended as a prophylactic in cases where it is not possible to completely eliminate provoking factors (pregnancy, work associated with prolonged standing, chronic pathologies that are difficult to treat, etc.).

When to start using venotonics for varicose veins of the lower extremities

1. Stage of compensation when the anatomical defect is sufficiently compensated by the body's defenses. So, apart from the visual expansion of the superficial veins of the lower extremities, the patient is not bothered by anything. At this stage, as a rule, only women who are concerned about a cosmetic defect turn to the doctor.

2. Subcompensation stage when compensatory mechanisms are no longer able to completely prevent the development of symptoms such as:

  • swelling of the legs, appearing in the evening;
  • feeling of heaviness and / or pain in the muscles of the legs;
  • night cramps of the calf muscles.

3.Decompensation stage A characterized by the appearance of moderately pronounced signs of malnutrition of the medial part of the ankle in its lower third, such as:

  • eczema-like (weeping) dermatitis.

4.Decompensation stage B is an indicator of the neglect of the disease and is characterized by the appearance of deep trophic ulcers and hyperpigmentation (persistent darkening of the skin).

At what stages of development of the pathology of venotonics for varicose veins of the legs are no longer effective

Effective venotonics for hemorrhoids

  • disruption of the normal functioning of the final section of the intestine (chronic constipation, intestinal obstruction, functional disorders of the activity of the sphincter of the rectum, etc.);
  • pregnancy;
  • "sedentary work;
  • diseases that occur with an increase in intra-abdominal pressure (prostate adenoma, chronic cough (smoker's bronchitis, tuberculosis), asthmatic diseases, ascites, neoplasms of the abdominal cavity, etc.);
  • pathologies accompanied by venous blood stasis (inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs - prostatitis, adnexitis), neoplasms that compress venous trunks, adhesive bowel disease);
  • increased physical activity.

With hemorrhoids, the veins of the hemorrhoidal plexus expand and overflow with blood, as a result, pathological nodes are formed located inside the rectum (internal hemorrhoids) or in the anus (external hemorrhoids).

  • increase the tone of the veins of the hemorrhoidal plexus and contribute to the subsidence of pathological nodes;
  • normalize blood properties, preventing the formation of blood clots;
  • strengthen the walls of blood vessels, preventing the development of bleeding;
  • improve blood microcirculation in the surrounding tissues, helping to eliminate edema.

Venotonics are used in the treatment of both acute and chronic hemorrhoids. As a rule, course treatment is used, the duration of which is determined by the attending proctologist. In order for venotonics to be effective for hemorrhoids, an integrated approach is needed, which includes a diet with the exclusion of smoked, spicy, salty foods and alcohol, as well as normalization of the stool. In addition, as a rule, local treatment (suppositories or ointments) is prescribed using antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and painkillers.

Are herbal venotonics prescribed for pelvic varicose veins for prophylactic purposes?

  • hereditary defect in the structure of the veins;
  • heavy physical labor (especially weight lifting);
  • features of sexual life that contribute to stagnation of blood in the small pelvis;
  • long stay in a sitting position;
  • gynecological diseases (incorrect position of the uterus, endometriosis, neoplasms of the uterus and ovaries, inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs).

For prophylactic purposes, venotonics are not prescribed for varicose veins of the small pelvis. Women with a hereditary predisposition to the development of venous insufficiency should be especially careful in the postpartum period, treat gynecological diseases in a timely manner, observe occupational hygiene and the correct daily routine.

Venotonics for varicose veins of the small pelvis (reviews and recommendations)

  • pulling pains in the lower abdomen, radiating to the perineum;
  • the appearance or intensification of pain after menstruation;
  • the appearance or intensification of pain after intercourse;
  • the presence of venous nodules on the labia, in the perineum, on the buttocks, on the upper third of the thigh.

All signs, with the exception of the last one, are nonspecific and occur in many gynecological diseases. It is extremely important to seek help from a competent specialist who can make a reliable diagnosis.

Venotonics for varicose veins

There are many radical ways to treat varicose veins. At the same time, conservative therapy options do not lose their relevance. Venotonics for varicose veins are most effective when administered simultaneously with other types of treatment. Drugs in this category are produced by many pharmacological companies. They differ in names, prices and chemical composition.

Venotonics for varicose veins of the legs and small pelvis have a general principle of action. These funds strengthen the walls of blood vessels, restore their former elasticity and stimulate the outflow of blood. To achieve a lasting result, a course medicine is recommended. Venotonics are produced in different forms - these are balms and tablets for oral administration, gels and topical ointments. Often drugs can have additional properties. Venotonics for the legs can relieve swelling, eliminate pain and a feeling of heaviness in the legs. It is impossible to choose medicines in this category on your own. If symptoms of varicose veins appear, you should consult a doctor.

With pelvic varicose veins

Venotonics of general action are prescribed for any manifestations of varicose veins. These drugs will help with pelvic pathology. It is worth considering pharmacological agents for oral administration. The safest are products based on plant extracts.

Vitalotonic (trademark Doppelhertz) has a minimum number of contraindications. You can not use it during pregnancy and lactation. This tool improves metabolic processes in the body, strengthens blood vessels and stimulates blood circulation. With serious manifestations of varicose veins of the small pelvis, its effectiveness will be negligible. If the disease is diagnosed at the initial stage, this remedy will improve the patient's condition.

Used for varicose veins of the small pelvis venotonics in tablets. Known drugs are Detralex and Antistax. The second remedy was created on the basis of extracts from grape leaves. Antistax can cause an allergic reaction, patients should be careful about their health in the first days of admission.

During pregnancy

During the bearing of a child, body weight inevitably increases and serious hormonal changes occur in the body. These factors

progression of varicose veins. Can venotonics be taken during pregnancy? There is no consensus on this issue even among competent experts. Some doctors prescribe drugs that strengthen the walls of blood vessels as a preventive measure to all patients. Others suggest delaying treatment until the baby is born. My patients used a proven remedy, thanks to which you can get rid of varicose veins in 2 weeks without much effort.

When symptoms of varicose veins appear, a consultation with a gynecologist and phlebologist is necessary. Together, specialists must balance the need for treatment and the risks of complications. Many modern venotonics in violation of venous outflow can be used during childbearing and during lactation. The drug Detralex is very popular. Its main active substance - diosmin - affects not only the state of the vessels, but also the movement of lymph and blood. The most effective drug for the treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities, it can be taken in the final, third trimester of pregnancy.

While carrying a child, you can also take Venarus and Phlebodia tablets. Both drugs have a combined effect and can be used to treat various manifestations of varicose veins. During pregnancy, vascular pathologies can be treated with many topical agents. These are gels and ointments for the legs, as well as some suppositories for hemorrhoids. The choice of a specific drug and the duration of the course of treatment should be determined by the doctor.

When blood clots occur, their symptoms differ among themselves, depending on the area where.

Expansion of veins is the number 1 problem of our time. Both women and men of different ages and social status are susceptible to this disease. That is why the prevention and treatment of the disease is a priority for phlebologists. Venotonics for varicose veins of the legs are one of the most widely used drugs that have positive effects in the treatment of the disease.

Venotonics - drugs of complex action, which belong to the group of angioprotectors. This group of drugs has an improving effect on the condition of the vessels of the legs and is used in the treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system. They are used not only for treatment, but also for prevention.

Venotonics - what it is will be explained in more detail by the attending physician. Self-medication for any disease is unacceptable, and with varicose veins it can have irreversible consequences.

Among the actions that venotonics have, the most important are:

  • toning of the walls of blood vessels, which increases the elasticity of blood vessels and normalizes pressure in the vascular bed;
  • strengthening of the walls of blood vessels by reducing the permeability of blood vessels and their fragility, which leads to an improvement in microcirculation and a decrease in the formation of edema;
  • anti-inflammatory by reducing the formation of pro-inflammatory factors and enzymes, which leads to a decrease in pain during varicose veins on the legs and a decrease in swelling;
  • general strengthening of blood vessels by improving blood flow.

Indications for the appointment of venotonics for the legs are:

  • phlebeurysm;
  • chronic venous insufficiency;
  • diseases of the cardiovascular system.

Contraindications for prescribing venotonic drugs are:

  • intolerance to the components that make up the drugs;
  • diseases of the digestive system;
  • pregnancy for a number of drugs.

Classification

According to the composition of venotonics from varicose veins are:

  1. Plant origin:
    • flavonoids, on the basis of which Detralex, Diosmin, Venarus, Vasoket are produced;
    • saponins created from natural digitalis glycosides, calendula, licorice, chestnut, ginseng: Aescusan, Herbion esculus, Aescin;
  2. Rutoside-containing, consist of glycosides with a high content of vitamin P, which act on the vascular wall: Rutin, Troxevasin, Venoruton, Troxerutin;
  3. Combined venotonics containing components of plant and synthetic origin in their composition, which have additional effects on the legs with varicose veins in the form of a decrease in the inflammatory response, an analgesic effect, a decrease in blood clotting: Doppelherz, Troxevasin Neo, Vitrum Memory, Venorm, Angionorm;
  4. Synthetic created on the basis of tribenoside, calcium salts: Glivenol, Tribenoside, Calcium Dobesilate;
  5. Polyvalent, which act on different mechanisms of damage to the vascular wall and have a lymphotropic effect by increasing lymphatic outflow, restoring vascular muscle tone and activating blood circulation in small capillaries. Such venotonics cause an outflow of blood from varicose veins, which reduces pain in the legs and their swelling: Detralex, Troxevasin, Aescusan.

According to the form of release, they distinguish:

  • Venotonics for external use (cream, ointment, gel);
  • Preparations for internal use (tablets, capsules, injection solutions, suppositories).

Application during pregnancy

The use of venotonics during pregnancy is permissible only after consulting a pregnant woman with an obstetrician-gynecologist and phlebologist. Self-treatment for varicose veins is strictly prohibited, as this can cause a threatening spontaneous miscarriage or childbirth, as well as have a teratogenic effect on the fetus.

The appointment of venotonics is carried out according to the trimers of pregnancy.

  • In the first trimester of pregnancy for up to 12 weeks, it is possible to prescribe only drugs for external use in the form of ointments, creams or gels.
  • In the second trimester of pregnancy, it is possible to prescribe drugs inside.
  • Preparations based on troxerutin, diosmin and hesperidin (Detralex, Troxevasin, Phlebodia 600) do not have contraindications for the period of pregnancy.

During pregnancy, the legs can be treated in other ways. This and much more is discussed in detail.

Venotonic preparations in tablets and capsules

Venotonic preparations for varicose veins of the legs, which are available in the form of tablets or capsules, are divided depending on which component is included in their composition:

Venotonics containing Diosmin and/or Hesperidin. This group of drugs has decongestant, anticonvulsant, analgesic effects, as well as improved microcirculation and tissue trophism:

Preparations based on Diosmin:

  • Vasoket, tablets of 15 or 30 pieces, German manufacturer;
  • Venolek, tablets of 30 pieces, Russian pharmaceutical company;
  • Phlebodia 600, tablets of 15 or 30 pieces, French manufacturer. The drug is described in detail on.

Venotonics containing Troxerutin. This group of drugs increases the tone of the vascular wall, has an anti-inflammatory effect and improves blood microcirculation:

  • Ginkor fort, 30 capsules of French production;
  • Troxevasin 30 or 50 capsules produced in Bulgaria.

Preparations based on Rutozid . This group of medicines for varicose veins based on bioflavonoids can increase the elasticity of red blood cells, reduce vascular fragility, and improve microcirculation:

  • Anavenol 60 tablets of Czech production;
  • Venoruton 50 capsules from a Spanish pharmaceutical company.

Plant based venotonics with the content, grape leaves, sweet clover, hazel:

  • Created on the basis of grape leaves:

    • Antistaks, German-made gel.

    Biologically active additives based on Diosmin and Hesperidin:

    • Venozol, gel from a Russian manufacturer.

    Venotonics in food

    As a preventive measure for varicose veins in the legs, venotonics contained in food can be used. As a method of treatment, products are ineffective, since a large number of them will be required for the required dosage. However, to maintain the vessels of the lower extremities, the intake of such products is necessary.

    From food products with a high content of flavonoids have a tonic effect on the vascular wall:

    • red grapes;
    • natural grape wine;
    • dog-rose fruit;
    • all citrus fruits;
    • green tea;
    • peel of apples and the fruits themselves to a lesser extent;
    • buckwheat.

    The loss of venous tone, caused by damage to the innervation of the vascular wall, insufficiency of muscle fibers, leads to sagging of the valve apparatus, congestive local phenomena, and the transition of the liquid part of the blood into the tissues.

    • consist of safe components (advantages on the side of herbal remedies);
    • not have a harmful effect on internal organs;
    • have a sufficient duration of action;

    Medicines are selected and prescribed in each case by a doctor. This takes into account the presence of underlying and concomitant diseases, side effects.

    Types of drugs

    By composition, all venotonics are classified into pharmaceutical groups:

    • herbal preparations, these include products containing flavonoids and saponins;
    • medicines from rutoside;
    • combined preparations containing simultaneously drugs that affect blood clotting, anti-inflammatory drugs, painkillers, herbal and synthetic components;
    • synthesized from chemicals;

    To the group combined funds includes Doppelherz, Troxevasin Neo, Vitrum Memory, Venorm, Angionorm.

    TO synthetic venotonics include drugs, the content of tribenoside, calcium salts. These are preparations Glivenol, Tribenozide, Calcium Dobesilat.

    Modern drugs with a lymphotropic effect are called polyvalent. Their mechanism of action is carried out in the following ways:

    • increased discharge of the liquid part of venous blood into the lymphatic vessels;
    • restoration of the tone of the muscular layer of the veins;
    • activation of blood circulation in small arterioles and capillaries.

    In this way, stagnation in the veins is facilitated, peripheral edema is removed. This group includes Detralex, Troxevasin, Aescusan.

    The main indications and contraindications for the use of venotonics depend on the leading disease, individual tolerance.

    The composition, indeed, contains very strong bioactive substances and vitamins. But there is a significant risk of developing allergic reactions.
