What is the name of the curse with which. What is the Curse? Do curses exist, what are they, and how to remove them? Is it possible to curse a person accidentally?

You can often find lost money and valuables on the street. The temptation to take them for yourself can be great, but such finds are not always safe: some things can be cursed and left in a visible place on purpose.

Things fraught with evil have existed for centuries. They often appeared in frightening and bloody historical events, leading their owners to quick death. At least 10 real-life cursed objects are known, carefully protected from the new possibility of harming people.

However, in our time, a fairly strong curse can be imposed on quite ordinary things: there can be many reasons, but esotericists name a few of the most common ones.

Transferring damage or illness to another person. A person knowledgeable in witchcraft can transfer his illness or the consequences of damage to another by enclosing negative energy in jewelry or coins. With the help of a conspiracy or ritual, the negative is contained in an object, after which the thing is left at an intersection, on a bridge or in any other crowded place. The one who finds the thing and picks it up takes on the negative. It should be noted that the more beautiful and expensive the item, the more problems it can bring: for example, those who want to get rid of a serious illness will not be stingy with leaving gold jewelry on the road.

Relocation of evil entities to a new “master”. It is no secret that many people carry subsoilers within themselves—entities that destroy the energy field and feed on vital energy. Practitioners can rid a person of them, but not every one of them is able to expel the settler completely. Many people consider it a good way to energetically bind an entity to an object and leave it on the road: whoever finds the thing will also find an attached inhabitant along with it.

Providing energy “feeding”. If a person involved in esotericism cannot independently provide himself with an influx of positive energy, he can make several “traps”: such things, found by other people, will draw strength from their new owners and, using an energy channel, transfer them to their creator. Possession of a vampire thing can lead to apathy, depression and serious illnesses, because it is unlikely that people who are capable of depriving others of energy will care about the limit of pumping out vital forces from their random victim.

How to determine a curse on a found item

Of course, the best way to never encounter curses is to never pick up money, valuables, or expensive jewelry. But if you or your loved ones unknowingly have already touched the find with your bare hands or brought it into the house, then there are several ways to determine what this threatens you with.

Esotericists claim that it is easiest to put any negative into unpaired gold jewelry: silver itself is energetically purer, so it practically does not accept negative, and copper is not a “strong” enough material to hold a curse for a long time.

Thus, the best material for creating a negative message is gold: it is noticeable, few people will be able to resist and simply pass by, and it also perfectly preserves any information, including negative ones. Therefore, if you pick up a gold ring, pendant or chain, especially an intact one, in a fairly exposed place, then this is a reason to start worrying.

Money, especially large bills or a large number of coins, can also carry negativity, but more often they act as a payoff after rituals, so you can be a little less afraid of them. There are two ways to determine whether an item you find and bring into your home is dangerous.

With the help of a church candle. This method will work if the item contains negativity placed there using dark magic. You need to stay in the room alone or alone with the person who found the object and light a candle. Next, pass the candle flame over the item you found and see how it changes: if the candle begins to smoke and smoke, then the item you found is filled with negative energy.

With the help of a conspiracy. If for some reason the method with a church candle does not suit you, you can try to determine the presence or absence of a curse using a special spell. To do this, you will have to leave the item near your bed all night. Avoid touching it with your hands and put it in a glass of water, which you won’t mind throwing away afterwards. Before going to bed, take a glass in your hands, close your eyes and say the following words:

“When I get up on a path in a dream, I’ll follow it to the river, I’ll come to the clear water, and I’ll ask the mother river: Mother river, your banks are wide, your bottom is deep, but you run far!” Show me whether the water is clear, whether I have evil or good in my hands?”

Repeat this spell three times and go to bed. Dreams this night will bring you an answer about the content of your find.

If you unknowingly put on a found piece of jewelry or use a picked-up item for a long time, the “symptoms” of a curse will be:

  • violent behavior of pets;
  • feeling unwell;
  • anxiety and nightmares;
  • constant chills followed by waves of heat;
  • unexpectedly arising and also disappearing pain throughout the body.

We should not forget that damage and curses can come into your life even without found things. If there are people around you who wish you harm, then it may be useful. We wish you never to fall under the influence of negative energy. Take care of yourself and don't forget to press the buttons and

Are there curses? This question worries many, including scientists. There is no clear answer to this. Some scientists claim that there are no curses - a person who was allegedly cursed with words simply begins to believe in it and looks for coincidences. Others simply consider curses to be an inexplicable phenomenon.

Curses exist in ancient beliefs in almost all cultures around the world. The history of their existence is as old as the world. Many people believe that curses only exist in movies, but in real life very often tragic and rather strange coincidences happen that cannot be called anything other than curses. And any person, even one who is not at all suspicious, experiences a subconscious feeling of fear and anxiety if he hears a curse addressed to him.

There are a huge number of stories in which curses appear and which inevitably end in a sad ending. One such case occurred in Australia in the 19th century. Ned Kelly, a poor farmer, fought against the arbitrariness of the authorities with all his might. He, one might say, became the local Robin Hood. Noble nobles, naturally, took up arms against the farmer and decided to exterminate him. One of the officers began to harass Ned's sister, which caused him to be severely injured and forced to go on the run. However, the authorities did not leave Kelly's family alone and put his mother in prison. The farmer himself was also caught and sentenced to death, despite the fact that tens of thousands of people asked for his mercy. At his execution, Ned shouted to the judge that after he died, the judge would go after him. Two weeks later, the representative of the law fell very seriously ill, and the doctors just shrugged their shoulders. Coincidence? This seems highly unlikely. A couple of days later, the judge died, and people whispered for a long time that it was Kelly’s spirit that dragged him to hell. And this is far from the only case, but one of the most famous and well-documented.

Another famous story tells about the curse that fell on the head of Philip the Fair, King of France. Wanting to appropriate the power and wealth of the knights, he ordered the complete destruction of the Templar Order. They were persecuted and tortured. By order of the king, the Grand Master of the Order, Jacques de Molay, was burned alive in Paris in 1314. Before his death, he cursed everyone who was involved in this. He also proclaimed that they would all follow him no later than in a year. The master's killers - Pope Clement, the king and Guillaume de Nogaret - were skeptical about this prediction. However, the curse of Jacques de Molay had terrible power - within a year, all three died one after another in terrible agony. Perhaps there is something to think about here.

Archival documents recorded another tragedy that was associated with the curse. It was pronounced by Archbishop Arseniy Matsievich, who was deprived of his rank and doomed to eternal imprisonment in dungeons. Arseny was an opponent of the decree of Catherine II, according to which church lands were to be transferred to the state. The archbishop has always openly criticized the authorities. Then, by order of the Empress, Matsievich was removed from all positions and sent into exile. The ceremony was performed by clergymen whom Arseny knew very well. When the day of the defrocking ceremony arrived, he predicted to Dmitry Sechenov that he would suffocate from his own tongue. Dmitry, four years later, actually died of apoplexy. But Arseny told Gideon of Pskov that he would not see his diocese. And so it happened - young Gideon did not reach Pskov, he died suddenly on the way. Arseny predicted death from a knife to his fellow countryman Ambrose. In 1771, during the cholera riot, Ambrose was stabbed to death.

Danton's curse on the Jacobin Maximilian Robespierre has long been a property of history. They were very close friends who together destroyed the power of the aristocrats and achieved the execution of the King of France. However, they had different views regarding the future of the country. Both Danton and Robespierre were involved in the outbreak of terror in France. However, a cooling of relations soon set in between the friends. The reason was that Danton began to repent of the bloodshed that had been unleashed and opposed the continuation of executions.

Then Danton and his supporters were arrested in March 1794 on the orders of Robespierre. After a quick trial, which took place in violation of all norms of the law, Danton and his comrades were sent to the guillotine, accused of conspiracy against the republic. When the convicts were transported on a cart to execution, they had to pass near Robespierre's house. Having waited for this moment, Danton shouted with all his might to Maximilian that the same fate awaited him. There are rumors that Robespierre, who was locked up at home at that moment, turned pale. In July 1794 he was overthrown, and a day later he was sent to the guillotine. He was taken to execution on the same road as his friend. The reason for the overthrow of Robespierre was the completely inexplicable and strange indecision that the dictator showed in the critical days before the coup. Has the curse really taken its toll?

The circumstances surrounding the death of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas still remain mysterious. It is quite possible that this incident was also associated with dark forces. The fact is that many members of the Kennedy clan did not die a natural death. And the reason for this lies in the curse that was pronounced at the beginning of the 19th century. At that time, the Kennedy family lived in Ireland, where a drought suddenly began. The grain harvest was destroyed and a terrible famine raged in the country. But the wealthy Kennedy farmers did not need anything - they sold at exorbitant prices the huge reserves of grain that were stored in barns. One day, a family of hungry Irish beggars passed by their house and asked to give them some food for their child, but they were refused. And when they began to ask more insistently, the dogs were set on them. Then the child’s mother pronounced a curse on the entire family of farmers.

There is another version, according to which a certain Joseph Patrick Kennedy, who once emigrated to America and lived in robbery, once dishonored and killed a mother and daughter together with a gang. This is what started the curse that haunted the entire Kennedy family and sent fatal accidents and illnesses to the male descendants of Patrick Joseph. Joseph Kennedy had nine children, most of whom died unnatural deaths, including John Kennedy.

You can wish evil upon a person, several people, a place, or even an entire city. Probably everyone knows about “bad” places in which quite strange events happen to people. And this is not always caused by a geopathogenic zone. Often people simply do not know about what happened here many years ago. They don’t know, but they feel it, because they are overcome by an inexplicable anxiety.

The Romans in 146 BC e. took Carthage and placed a curse on this city, and then razed it to the ground. And, oddly enough, the city never revived, even despite its advantageous location, from a geographical point of view. The Romans even, having forgotten about their curse, began to rebuild Carthage a century later. Despite the fact that there were all the prerequisites for this city to regain its greatness and power, this never happened - first it was destroyed by the Arabs, and then the Spaniards completed the job in the 16th century.

The situation is much more complicated with cursed places. Some sad experiences or terrible events may well leave their mark on a specific street, house, or vacant lot. Thus, in Yekaterinburg there is the famous Ipatiev House, where after the revolution the royal family was shot. However, few people know that the building in 1895 belonged to the merchant Redikortsev, who had a weakness for his own sex. For a long time, the merchant’s immoral life was the subject of endless gossip and brought him to a rather high-profile trial. The merchant died shortly before the trial due to a weak heart, but his “comrades” were sent to hard labor. The death of the king led to the fact that this house began to be called a cursed place. Later, the Church on the Blood was built in its place.

A special category includes the parental curse, which has powerful powers. Such a curse is especially dangerous, since there is a very close connection between the child and the parent from birth. There is a popular belief that it is most dangerous to make negative wishes from twelve to one in the morning or afternoon. It is believed that this is a special time during which what is said can come true.

In the Carpathians there are mountains Petros and Hoverla. Local residents tell a beautiful story about them - according to rumors, these mountains used to be where a girl and a boy fell in love. But Goverla’s father did not want this wedding and cursed the lovers for neglecting their parents’ will. After the young people got married illegally, they turned into mountains.

The ghost of Maria, Kochubey’s daughter, who fell in love with her father’s murderer and was cursed by her mother for this, is still seen in Chernigov. And similar legends exist in all places on the globe.

These and many other chilling legends show that curses probably do exist and can affect both inanimate objects and people. It is hardly possible to find at least one example where wishes for misfortune were uttered just like that. Such wishes came from people who suffered severely due to the actions of a particular person.

This is a question from one of the readers of our blog “Myself a Psychologist”. But the question, I would say, is not psychological, but purely esoteric. Of course, everyone chooses to believe or not to believe in curses, but based on my personal 15 years of esoteric practice, I can say with absolute certainty that curses exist.

Working with, they even helped me remove one old curse. Besides, I'm watching from the sidelines I saw how it works, for example, when at some point in time men in a clan suddenly begin to die (perish) and if this curse is not lifted in time, then the clan dies out (dies) with the last man.

What is a Curse

– this is a very strong targeted energy impact that carries an information program (for destruction). This is not a simple effect, such as the evil eye or something similar, but much stronger. Most often, the Curse is placed on the complete destruction of a person and his destiny, sometimes on the destruction (death) of the entire family. Often a curse, if it is not worked out and removed, lasts several lives until it is removed. That is, if suddenly, God forbid, you discover a curse (it seems to turn on at a certain point in time), then most often it comes from your past life. And you can’t do it without a healer.

What are curses and their types? 1. Tribal and individual 2. Ritual and ordinary 3. Those that are placed by people and those that are placed by Forces 4. Those that are placed and those that are placed 5. Also, curses differ in the program of influence - causing certain harm (to failure, lack of money, loneliness, etc.), death, etc.

It often happens that a person curses himself if he has done something terrible, was unable to forgive himself and cursed himself, for example, to eternal torment and wandering. Such curses can also be very powerful. It all depends on what kind of energy charge a person puts into it.

Why are Curses imposed? Why are they cursed? Dark people and forces can curse a person for anything, for crossing the road somewhere, etc. But the curse will not “stick” to every person, so to speak. If the curse is not fair from the point of view. Higher Powers (), then it will not work, it will rebound, because the person is under the patronage and protection and. But if a person has done something very bad (murder, betrayal), then the curse (negative impact) will be fair, God’s protection will be removed from such a sinner and the curse will work.

Read about the Ancestral Curse in the next article. Now let me give you a few other examples.

For example, Ritual Curses. Which were imposed by representatives of the Church and Spiritual Chivalric Orders - on knights who committed treason or other very serious violation. Moreover, the entire family of the knight was cursed along with the culprit, all titles, ranks, and merits of the family were annulled, all relatives were expelled from the country (or city), and the surname was given disgrace. The knight himself was publicly ritually executed, and his relatives were outlawed and became outcasts.

This curse falls precisely into the category of curses that are placed by the Light Forces, most often with the wording - “For the betrayal of God and His representatives”. Moreover, the greatest torment of a person awaits after death, in hell. For betrayal, the damned remain in hell much longer than those who committed other crimes. Traitors have been suffering there for thousands of years.

The biggest sinners cursed by the Higher Powers include Judas, Brutus and other traitors. Those who betrayed their benefactors. They are still in the farthest reaches of hell.

Also, according to the curse, you need to understand the following! If a person is found to have a curse, it means that he did something very bad (terrible) in the past. But this does not mean that you need to kill yourself about this in the present. Most often, if you have discovered a curse, then by this time it will have mostly been worked out and your main task will be to find its cause and remove it through working with a good Healer.

How to remove the Curse?

Self-inflicted curses
– they can be removed the easiest way: you put it on yourself and take it off yourself. 1. You need to forgive yourself for the sin for which a person cursed himself. How to forgive yourself - . 2. Next, in prayer, ask for forgiveness from the Higher Powers, for the fact that you caused harm to yourself, for the fact that you yourself took the role of a judge in relation to yourself to yourself. Many reasons for failure in a person’s life are precisely because of the negative impacts that the person himself inflicted on himself in the past.

Curses placed by other people. To remove such a curse, it is also necessary to find out the reasons why this or that person cursed you, and this is best done through a good Spiritual Healer. Next, the Healer performs a certain ritual during which you apologize to the Soul of the person who cursed you for the harm caused to him. If your awareness of the sin you have committed is sufficient and the Higher Powers give the go-ahead, then the curse is lifted. If not, then what follows is your work on yourself, certain actions in the Subtle World (compensation to the offended, etc.) and so on until the curse can not be lifted.

Ritual curses- this is the most serious category of curses and can be removed they are the most difficult (a person needs to fulfill the most conditions in order to remove them). If in a person’s past there were betrayals by God or his representatives, and he basically worked off his sin through suffering for many lives in a row, then one of the conditions for removing such a curse may be the person’s adoption of the path of Light - the development of his Soul, the formation of devotion to God and Service to Him. That is, the curse will be lifted only when a person cultivates a clear distinction between Good and Evil, and forms absolute devotion to God, the Forces of Light, Good, and also confirms this by passing life lessons, tests and selfless good Deeds (helping others).

And when a person has taken the Path of Light and has earned the right from the Higher Powers to lift the curse, an appropriate ritual of apology is carried out, the high Forces of Light come and remove the negative impacts corresponding to the curse from the person and his fate.

About the Ancestral Curse– read the next article.

In any case, to understand the reasons and remove the curse, you need a good specialist! Previously, in the Middle Ages, a good priest could remove the curse, but now there are practically no such priests. Now there are, although not many, good Spiritual Healers who can help with this.

If you need the help of a good Healer, I can recommend such a specialist with extensive experience in such matters.

A curse is an energy blow sent with hatred. The power of the curse can be varied: at the everyday level, which does not cause much damage, or extremely destructive, which can lead to various health problems or lead to death. How does the curse work?

How curses are formed

A curse is usually used when a person is filled with hatred and inability to change anything. The emotions of such a person carry strong negativity, which he is unable to cope with. When a person releases his negative emotions outward, it creates a powerful energy blow.

In the future, the curse can develop according to the following scenarios:

The energy strike does not reach the recipient.

The curse reaches the energy field of the recipient and “gets stuck” in it. Further, it destroys human life and health. The effect of the curse can be called a disaster.

The curse will hover around the person to whom it is sent until it waits for the right moment. In such cases, the curse does not take effect immediately. It takes some time until it begins to operate in full force.

What types of curses are there?

Curses carried out by personal power.

Curses performed by various dark creatures.

The first group includes curses that a person commits with his own power. Naturally, the impact will be stronger for a magician or sorcerer than for an ordinary person.

The most powerful curses are those performed by various creatures. For example, if a curse was said in the dark, when “dark creatures” come into force, they pick it up and convey it to the addressee. In this case, the power of “dark creatures” is added to the power of the words spoken by a person.

All curses can be divided into two groups:

A curse that a person feels on himself.

A curse that is passed on to children and grandchildren. It is called a generational curse.

The longer the curse passes from parents to children and beyond, the stronger and more destructive it becomes.

The most destructive curses in terms of impact are the following:

Maternal. When a mother curses her child, even unintentionally.

Curse before death. If a dying person cursed someone, then the cursed person may soon go to the next world.

A curse sent by a magician.

A curse spoken in a “dark time.”

This article contains only a small part of everything that can be said about the curse. There is only one thing to remember: never, under any circumstances, curse anyone. Words can cause irreparable harm.

Culture

You've probably already heard about some curses that have captured the imagination of people all over the world. Was this just a coincidence or was there really some kind of supernatural phenomenon involved that influenced the fate of those people who believed that they were cursed?

After the death of the famous singer Amy Winehouse, who found herself in "Club 27", having died at the age of 27, like many other musicians, people began to think that curses really exist. Find out about the most famous curses that seem to be more than just legends and coincidences.

1) Curse of Madden

Madden NFL is a popular American football video game that features players National Football League and their characteristics. The game is updated every year. The first person to appear on the game's booklet was John Madden, whose face was featured on the game's cover for 11 years until 2001.

Since then, different players have appeared on the cover every year. There is an opinion that all the players who appear on the cover Madden NFL, would be seriously injured that year or their fame would fade: Dante Culpepper suffered a knee injury and missed the next 5 games of the season, Michael Vick broke his right fibula just as the game with him on the cover hit stores. McNabb stated that he did not believe in the curse and agreed to appear on the cover of the booklet. Madden's curse caught up with him too, and he suffered a sports hernia in his first match. The list of maimed athletes continued every year if they appeared on the cover of this video game.

2) Runestone Bjoerktorp

In the province of Blekinge, Sweden, there are several standing stones arranged in a circle. Some believe that ancient graves are located here. However, no one yet knows exactly why these stones were installed. It is known that the stones were installed by more than one person, although they appeared at approximately the same time - in the 7th century AD. One of these stones called Bjoerktorp truly has mystical properties, an ancient runic curse is written on it:

I, the owner of the runes, hid powerful runes here. [To be in] dissipation, not to know peace, in exile [to be] killed by magic to the one who destroys this monument. I predict doom.

According to a legend dating back to the 15th century, a man tried to remove the stone to make way for planting crops. He decided to light a fire around it and then pour water on it so that the stone would split so that it could be removed. However, when he lit a fire, the flames spread to him and he died in the fire.

3) Club 27

The Curse of Club 27 refers to a group of very famous musicians who die at the age of 27. Club 27 has already hosted such famous musicians as Robert Johnson (died in 1938 for unknown reasons), Brian Jones (1969, drowned in a swimming pool), Jimi Hendrix (1970, choked on vomit after taking sleeping pills and wine), Janice Joplin (1970, heroin overdose), Jim Morrison (1971, cardiac arrest), Kurt Cobain (1994, suicide. As a child, Cobain told his sister that he would like to get into Club 27).

Although these are the most famous musicians who found themselves in Club 27, the list includes others, about 40 people in total, who were not so popular, but also became “official members” of this club. Recently, another celebrity was added to the list - Emmy Winehouse, who died at the peak of her fame on July 23, 2011 due to a heart attack caused by alcohol intoxication.

4) James Dean and "Little Bastard"

James Dean is a famous Hollywood actor of the 1950s. His most famous film is the film "Rebel without a cause"", A "Little Bastard" he called his car the Porsche 550 Spider. The actor died in a car accident while driving this car shortly after he purchased it. Actor Alec Guinness told Dean that the car looked "sinister", predicting his death a week after buying the car. James Dean actually died 7 days later.

Moreover, after the accident, the car's spare parts were sold and also brought misfortune to their owners. Thus, the Porsche tires on the new car were punctured almost simultaneously, and very soon after their purchase, which forced the car to leave the road. Troy McHenry and William Ashrid were involved in a car racing accident. Their cars were equipped with Little Bastard parts, the list goes on...

5) Curse of Superman

It is said that the creators of the Superman character, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, cursed him because they were deceived by the company DC Comics, for whom they worked, and did not receive a penny for their work. The actor who played Superman in the series, George Reeves, committed suicide.

Another actor, Christopher Reeves, who played the superhero in later Superman films, fell from his horse, resulting in him being confined to a wheelchair for 9 years. He died in 2004 from cardiac arrest.

6) Curse of the Hope Diamond

The Hope Diamond is perhaps the most famous diamond in the world. Apparently it was stolen from the forehead of the idol in the 17th century. The priests of the temple placed a curse on the stone, which has been valid for several centuries. Immediately after the theft, the stone was sold to a French gem dealer, who was soon attacked and mauled to death by a pack of rabid dogs in Constantinople. Before his death, the merchant managed to present the stone to the King of France, Louis XIV. He had no idea that the stone could bring misfortune...

Princess de Lamballe, who wore this stone constantly, was killed during the French Revolution. A sad fate also befell the king's finance minister, who later took the stone for himself and ended his life in prison. All the jewelers who were involved with this diamond ended their lives under strange circumstances, including committing suicide, like Jacques Colot. However, scientists reject the theory of a curse placed on the Hope Diamond, arguing that such stories served to “promote” the stone so that it could be sold profitably. But who would want to own a cursed stone?

7) Tecumseh's Curse

This curse has many names, including "The President's Curse" or "Curse of Year Zero". It relates to a series of strange patterns associated with the deaths of American presidents elected in years ending in 0, from 1840 to 1960.

The curse is associated with President William Harrison when he was still governor. He tried to bribe the Native Americans to take their lands. He captured the village of Chief Tecumseh, which was located on the banks of the Tippecanoe River. Tecumseh's brother, who was called "Prophet", cursed Harrison and predicted that he would die during his reign. This applies to all other presidents up to the 7th generation who are elected in years that end in 0, the same as the year in which Harrison was elected.

8) Curse of the Crying Boy

They say that the portrait of an unknown boy was the cause of many explosions and fires around the world. Each time the painting was found untouched in disaster areas. The famous researcher, Dr. George Mallory was intrigued by these facts and began searching for the author of the work.

He finally found the artist of this painting, who turned out to be an old man living in Madrid, who said that he painted the painting many years ago, when he found an orphan boy wandering the streets of the city. This boy was the only member of his family to survive the fire. The artist also said that a priest who knew this boy warned him that the child would bring fires to all the houses where he was allowed. The artist did not want to believe these stories and began to take care of the child, whose name was Dan Bonillo, until his own studio burned down. After this, the artist kicked out the boy, whom he never saw again.

9) The Curse of "Poltergeist"

"Poltergeist" is a horror film trilogy, the first film of which was released in 1982. The incredibly violent nature of the film, as well as its plot, has given rise to many mysterious rumors surrounding the film. However, the facts cannot be denied: four of the crew members died between the releases of the first and last film, among them was 12-year-old actress Heather O'Rourke.

It is said that the reason for the curse was that several real corpses were filmed for some scenes in the film.

10) The Curse of the Kennedy Clan

If you have a large family, it is possible that one of its members will definitely die due to accidents. However, an incredibly long list of deaths belongs to the Kennedy family. Ted Kennedy, after the death of his passenger Mary Jo Kopehne in a car accident, said that there was likely a serious curse hanging over the Kennedy family.

Like most other curses, the curse of the Kennedy clan is associated with injustice: Joseph Kennedy Sr. forced his daughter Rosemary Kennedy to undergo a lobotomy at the age of 23. Family members felt that Rosemary was a retarded child growing up and experienced mood swings, possibly as a result of isolation and feelings of inferiority during adolescence. Thus, the father decided that the operation could cure his daughter, but the lobotomy left her disabled for the rest of her life (she died at the age of 86 of natural causes). It is worth noting that of the 5 children of Joseph Kennedy Sr., Rosemary is the only one who died a natural death.
