Canva design program. Canva is not a canvas, but a useful online editor (a la Photoshop). Where are saved projects stored?

If you think that design tasks have to be solved only by specially trained workers, then you are very mistaken. Each of us, sooner or later, is faced with the need to make a business card, an advertisement, create a presentation, infographic or collage. And if some people from birth have the gift to create quite decent products even in Paint and Notepad, then others would be very useful in special tools that help solve assigned tasks without much preparation and professional skills. New web service Canva that's exactly what it is. Later in the article you will learn how it works and get invites for testing.

Immediately after logging into your account, you will be asked to indicate what you want to create. You can choose from a presentation, blog graphics, Facebook screensaver, poster, invitation, and so on. It is possible to specify the dimensions of your project.

Based on your selection, the corresponding set of templates will be downloaded. I chose to create a poster as an example, after which I was given an almost endless number of design options. You can use the search bar to find the topic you need.

By clicking on the template in the left panel we load it into the editing area. Everything is simple here - clicking on any element brings up a pop-up window with its properties, in which we can change the labels, colors, fonts, size, tilt and other parameters.

Of course, you can not only edit existing elements, but also add your own. To do this, there are several tabs in the left panel. Chapter TEXT, as is clear, is responsible for adding text blocks, and you can transfer both “naked” text fields and beautifully designed blanks to your project. Chapter BCGROUND allows you to change the background by choosing it from dozens and hundreds of fills, patterns and pictures. You can also upload and use your own graphics, as well as photos from Facebook, in your project.

After you've finished working on a project, you can save the result on your computer in PNG or PDF formats and share it on Facebook or Twitter. There is also an interesting opportunity to publish your work online, and everyone who knows the corresponding link will be able to edit your project.

As a result, in just a few minutes we receive a business card, ad, banner or illustration that is in no way inferior to professional work. Yes, for bold and original solutions you will still have to turn to specialists, but as a quick “first aid” tool, the online service Canva may well be of interest to the widest range of users.

If you are also interested in this service and want to try it out (which I highly recommend), then you should note that Canva is in the testing stage and is currently available only by invite. You can leave your email address and receive an invitation in about a week, or you can write a comment on this post and the top five will receive an invite from me.

If for some reason you didn’t like one of the Photoshop graphic editors presented on our website, then it’s time to get acquainted with another analogue of the popular program and online service, which includes almost everything possible. It is simply called - Canva !

Having learned just a few techniques in this online editor, you can quickly design photos and make ready-made layouts for later work with friends, colleagues, etc. Get started with Canva as simple as following a link - just register through a social profile on Google or Facebook (there is no VKontakte, apparently Durov did not take care of this). After your account is automatically verified, you will be redirected to the main page of the site, where you can choose a ready-made layout or create one from scratch.

I liked the principle of choice itself - i.e. you don’t need to identify the need to select a template every time, but simply click on it: if you need a book, click on the template for the layout of the desired book, and if you need to create a post on social networks, then click on this template.
You should also note the search for elements for the layers of your future layout. It is very convenient, especially in cases where you need to quickly select the required file. But! Please note that not all photos are free...

The convenient grid layout feature can save a lot of time, as it was originally created for this purpose. You simply take a ready-made design and edit it in an online editor (it turns out to be a tautology...). The only strange point here for me was “Resizing”– to change the width and height in the grid you need to purchase a premium account.

Undoubtedly, this decision will force many to remove Photoshop or its analogues on the computer, since the speed of cloud computing is not comparable to software on a hard drive, and only the Internet will be needed. However, I tend to choose the optimal programs and versatility - what online editors can do, computer programs cannot always do, and vice versa. Photoshop, in my opinion, is the leader among graphic editors, and there is simply no replacement for it, either offline or online.
