Mass Effect Andromeda: walkthrough. After replaying Mass Effect: ANDROMEDA...

The space odyssey continues. The legendary Mass Effect is sending its fans on an interstellar excursion to the constellation Andromeda, where the adventures of Scott and Sarah Ryder, the main characters of the game, will begin. Game2Day begins a series of guides for Mass Effect: Andromeda, the first of which is a collection of useful tips for beginners. And veterans of the franchise should refresh their memory: five years have passed since the release of the third part. Engines at full power, let's go!

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Communication with the team

In the game, it is extremely important to maintain relationships with companions in the story. If you ignore this step, you lose a lot, including the most interesting quests. On the "Storm" your teammates are quite independent and in addition to accompanying the main character during the main missions, they are not averse to getting involved in some kind of adventure themselves. If you keep in touch with them via email or Nexus, Sarah and Scott's companions will definitely invite the player to participate in a chain of exciting quests. Successful completion of missions and constant communication with comrades affects their loyalty. This strengthens their resolve and commitment to the common cause.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Profile Selection

Mass Effect: Andromeda launched a fun experiment: instead of choosing a specific class at the beginning of the game and acting in the same style throughout the entire campaign, gamers now have Profiles.

These are gameplay styles that can be switched to on the fly, using different buffs and boosts in specific situations. That is, the gaming style has become more flexible and can adapt to a particular scene in Mass Effect. The same goes for special abilities that you just want to experiment with. For example, the Conduit profile turns a normal jump jump into a biotic force that allows you to move through obstacles.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Features

This unusual approach to classes means that players have a virtually inexhaustible arsenal of abilities. The points you earn can be spent on three main branches - Biotics, Combat mode and Technique. Don't forget that you can switch and mix up your abilities at any time, even in battle. We definitely recommend trying different combinations and combinations. Some skills have amazing potential that you will have to discover through trial and error. But it's worth it, believe me.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Jump Pack

Adventures in Andromeda are... so to speak, vertical compared to previous parts of the series. So you'll have to get used to it. A jump pack with a fast cooldown allows you to reach roofs and ledges, and jump over ravines. The game has several puzzles related to the environment and there you will also have to turn to the jetpack for help. But the jump pack performs best in combat. You'll see for yourself.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Faithful "Nomad"

While exploring the many different planets in the game, your character will use a six-wheeled all-terrain vehicle, the Nomad, to traverse the terrain. In addition to its transport function, the Nomad is a vital tool for development and research. During the installation of forward bases, the Nomad's resource search module is activated. When you come across an area that is particularly rich in minerals, the module will raise a real alarm so that you don’t miss out on the tasty morsel. With the help of your trusty all-terrain vehicle (also called an exocraft), you can improve your armor, weapons and travel in comfort.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Scanning space and planets

"Storm" is equipped with a powerful scanner that allows you to identify satellites, debris and deposits of Element Zero. A useful thing for quickly boosting XP. Small asteroids are full of resources that cannot be found on planets, and Element Zero is only found in outer space. By the way, 100% exploration of the planet will not work unless you search the space around it. It is quite possible that you will be able to discover a couple of interesting quests.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Memory Fragments

One of the most intriguing quests in Mass Effect: Andromeda is the search for memory fragments. We won’t reveal secrets or spoilers, but one thing can be said: finding these fragments on different planets is very important for revealing the backstory of the game. The more puzzle pieces you find, the better. Each time, artificial intelligence (SAM) will give players access to new stories.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Completing quests

Another surprise from the developers: most long quests will pause at certain key points. This encourages players to keep up with the storyline and check their journal regularly for updates. If you don't do this, you may fail the quest. So be careful.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Quick escapes and upgrades

To quickly transfer to the “Storm”, jump into the all-terrain vehicle and hold down the Y key (on PS4 this is a triangle) and you will be transferred to the ship. This is very useful and speeds up the process of traveling from planets to the Nexus and back. As for research and development, the process is a little cumbersome, but you have to figure it out. By scanning data and completing quests, you get a lot of different materials and minerals that can be used to create and replenish your inventory. Loads of weapons and armor can be collected from dead enemies or in containers, but the best items will have to be crafted. You shouldn’t keep a whole bunch of guns or armor in your stash. It's better to "invest" them in improved versions.

"Nomad" is a great helper in a fight

"Nomad" is an ideal tool for attack. As you explore the planets, you will encounter a variety of enemies and your all-terrain vehicle is capable of helping your character out in difficult situations. The best way to fight is to quickly jump out of the vehicle, shoot a couple of biotic projectiles and take refuge in the Nomad again. Be careful: enemies can surround you and attack you from behind.

Don't forget about trading

It is better to sell tons of materials that will accumulate in your warehouse if they have no real value in terms of consumables or research. All you have to do is find any merchant, sell him all this junk and put a bunch of credits in your pocket.

That's all for now, but the collection of guides for this, without a doubt, wonderful game, will be replenished day by day. Good luck!

Relic puzzles, made in the form of a kind of Sudoku, are almost the most tedious part of Mass Effect Andromeda. It is unknown how exactly BioWare came up with the idea of the need for such a mini-game, but decryption keys are clearly very popular on the gaming market.

If you wish, you can solve the puzzles yourself - it's simple, but not very interesting. If you plan to crack Remnant codes yourself, then pay attention to this guide - well, the text below is interesting for those who prefer to explore planets rather than solve crossword puzzles.

Planet Eos: Remnant monolith code

The very first planet that the aspiring Pathfinder will explore. This is where you first encounter Remnant puzzles, which are reminiscent of Sudoku.

The location of the Remnant monolith itself is shown on the map below. There are three monoliths on Eos, but only one of them needs to solve the code.

The code, as in all the first puzzles, is very simple. Enjoy it while you can: after a few planets, the riddles will become - no, not more difficult - more boring.

Planet Havarl: monolith code with scientists in stasis

Havarl is probably one of the smallest planets in Mass Effect Andromeda. There’s not even a way to summon a Nomad here: all the interesting locations are so close.

There is only one puzzle on Havarl: the Pathfinder needs to save the Hangar scientists who are trapped at the Remnant monolith - this is the task “Help the Havarl Scientists”. The code is very simple:

The monolith you need is here.

In addition, there is a relic storage facility on Havarl; gaining access to it is connected with one sad and heroic story, which you will learn about during the quest “The Dying Planet”.

Upon entering the vault, you need to solve a puzzle that does not involve codes: to open the door, you need to activate the left front, left rear, right front and right rear Remnant consoles in sequence.

Planet Voeld: Relic Monolith Code No. 1

On the frozen planet, three traditional monoliths await the Pathfinder, but the problem is that this time each of these monoliths will have puzzles.

You will see the location of the first Relic monolith on the map below:

Did you notice? The puzzles are getting bigger. Remember: if you enter the code incorrectly, you will have to fight the guardians of the monolith. It's better to do everything the first time.

Planet Voeld: Relic Monolith Code No. 2

This monolith has an interesting feature: the glyphs that need to be scanned before solving the puzzle are hidden on the surface, and the monolith hall itself is located in a cave. I'll have to run.

The location of the Relic monolith is shown on this map:

Planet Voeld: Relic Monolith Code No. 3

But activating this monolith does not present any problems. We arrived at the point, scanned the glyphs, and carefully solved the puzzle. Let's go to the vault!

The location of the Relic Monolith is shown on the map below.

There are no puzzles in Voeld's vault, you just need to make sure that the Pathfinder doesn't freeze. Stop by the heaters every now and then and you'll be fine.

Planet Kadara: Remnant Monolith Code

We are going to the planet of exiles. Have you met Sloane Kelly yet? Then go activate the monoliths - there are three of them on Kadar. Great news: only one monolith has the puzzle, and it's surprisingly simple.

You will find the monolith itself at this point, very close to the main settlement of the planet.

Planet Kadara: code in the Relics vault

Getting into Kadara's vault is easy: at the entrance you just need to activate the main console and turn on three smaller consoles, around which weakening shields are raised. This mechanic will be repeated several more times.

There's also a side puzzle here. You don't have to go through it, but if you still decide to explore the entire vault, here's the code:

Planet Elaaden: Remnant Monolith Code

A deserted and very hot planet inhabited by exiled krogan. What could be better? Only solving the puzzles of the Remnants: there are two of them again on this planet.

As in the case of the previous task, we begin the passage of Mass Effect: Andromeda by entering the monorail, activating it and going to its destination. After some dialogue, a short scene will start, then you need to talk with Tann and a handful of other inhabitants of the Nexus. When the conversation is finished, Sam will get in touch, provide some information and offer to explore the surrounding area in more detail. You can do this, or you can ignore it - this task is not mandatory. We are interested in the story mission, which we will talk about later.

From scratch

Considering that after starting the mission you will not be able to change the composition of your teammates, we recommend that you immediately include Vetra in your landing team: this character will be very useful from a practical point of view, since only she will be able to find a common language with a potential ally - an old krogan named Drak, whom you will meet during the quest.

Departure for the mission begins traditionally with boarding the monorail, which will take you straight aboard the Hyperion. There will be one room marked there - follow to the place where you need to talk to the artificial intelligence. The next task is to go back to the monorail transport system, find the docking bay on the map, this is exactly what we need.

For the first time we will see the “new Normandy”: the warship of our brave protagonist, which here, however, is already called the Storm. After short dialogues, we need to go to the captain's bridge to continue the passage of Mass Effect: Andromeda. To go on the actual story mission, select the Pytheas system and the planet Eos in it as your destination. Now we're going straight there.

After landing on the surface of the planet, go to the mark, but the door there will not open: to open it, you need to get the access code available in one of the neighboring buildings. Once there, examine the data block on the table. Along the way, the game carefully gives out hints, offering to scan everything left and right, which will allow you to receive information of varying degrees of value, as well as acquire all kinds of resources that are valuable almost without exception, they can all be sold, and you will always find where to spend the money.

Having received the access code, open the previously impenetrable door, you will be given the task of opening another one, but this one will not open for completely different reasons: there is no power supplied to it, therefore, it is not possible to open it until you personally do not supply this same power restore. Having walked a little further in the current room, turning to the right, you will see a console; use it to obtain the coordinates of the place where you can return energy to the door.

Now you will have a new marker leading to a tower located very close to your spaceship. Going to the back door, activate the console again, there you will meet Clancy, who should be asked to turn on the power again, but he resists, saying that he also turned off the power for a reason, because he is afraid of the kett. Having promised him to deal with the aliens, follow the new marker, which marks the generator standing next to the door to the tower. To activate it, you need to press the action button, however, this will not work: you need to scan the area for problems.

Problems will be found in the neighboring tower, then jump up, where you will activate the generator panel again. It will launch safely, but at the first stage this will not be enough; you need to launch another one. Entry number two is not particularly original: the passage of Mass Effect: Andromeda is practically no different at this stage, you need to do the same actions, and the place is marked with a marker, as in the previous case.

Then what Clancy was afraid of will happen: a detachment of kett will arrive, traditionally not particularly friendly towards you, so you will have to kill them all. When you finish with the reprisal, run to the station, where you will find the same Clancy. After another dialogue with him, he will become available as a merchant - you can get rid of unnecessary loot by selling him all the trash. And in return, what you buy is no longer rubbish, although the prices are not very favorable for you: Clancy buys everything on the cheap, but sells it at exorbitant prices.

Among the loot available to him there is a luxurious assault rifle "Hoe", very familiar from the original trilogy of Mass Effect, but there is absolutely no point in buying it for the requested amount, since you will very soon be able to find it in a container in the same building. One way or another, we need to activate the next control panel, marked with a marker, in order to restore full power supply.

Our next item of interest is a huge container, also marked with a marker. What makes it interesting is that the Nomad all-terrain vehicle is stored there; the necessary container from the unnecessary ones can be easily distinguished with the help of a universal scanner that solves problems for every taste. The next step is to activate the terminal located on the side. After activation, a mobile station will appear and will be marked with the appropriate marker. With its help you will be able to change your equipment, as well as replenish your ammo supply.

We are almost done here, all that remains is to open the container with the Nomad to get into the all-terrain vehicle and drive it to the next marker. Just some quick tips: the car has two driving modes, one standard (for flat surfaces, high-speed) and with increased cross-country ability (for hilly areas with steep climbs).

Both drive options can be switched with the right mouse button. In standard mode, the car will be extremely reluctant to go even on minor inclines, but at the same time it develops much better speed on the plains. With increased cross-country ability, the opposite is true: you won’t be able to accelerate much, but at the same time, even steep climbs will be tackled with a bang.

Having arrived at the object marked with a marker, once again take out your scanner in order to study the device of alien origin. We need to find the first of three glyphs. There is a tower at the top and scaffolding nearby. Climb up and check the glyph. After talking with an ally, enter the battle against monoliths and collectors. After getting rid of the opponents, return to the all-terrain vehicle, and then drive to any of the two remaining points.

One of them is in a scientific laboratory built by the kett. There we need to get up and arrange local genocide for the above-mentioned race. After clearing, you will see that it is not so easy to enter the station due to the fact that the entrance is reliably blocked by a force field; to disable it, deactivate the generator located next door. Now climb to the roof, where you will find the second entrance, you will find the desired glyph. After interacting with him, enter the room where you will meet Drak.

We are interested in kett equipment, to find the location of the glyphs, launch the scanner, with its help you will see yellow outlines that reveal the necessary objects from all the gray mass. There, use the device again. When you're done, return to the Nomad and ride it to the last of the three points. Along the way, you will once again come across a group of kett, who will immediately begin to fire at you. You can try to run over at least some of them with a car, or you can immediately get out of the vehicle and enter the battle.

In any case, having destroyed all the enemies, find the next portion of the glyphs using the scanner, and then we will need the control panels of the remnants - activate them, turn on the steps, with the help of which the path to the glyphs will become possible. After scanning these intricate objects, activate the device; to launch it you will need to solve a simple puzzle. Afterwards, run to the central area of the current map, where we are interested in the relics control panel.

Let's continue the passage of Mass Effect: Andromeda by moving towards the structure, after which our path will lead down, where it is possible to enter the building. There is another console, activate it, then run to another marker. After a short dialogue with the artificial intelligence, follow the door and a short video will start. After its completion, we again look where the marker points and follow it.

Along the way, of course, you will meet enemies again, which you will have to deal with so that they do not deal with you. Going out into the large hall, you will see that two devices are marked with outlines, and at the same time another group of enemies will dilute the area, so you will have to engage in battle again. Having destroyed all those who disagree, first activate one control panel, then the other. We recommend starting with the one on the right, since this will launch a turret that can provide real assistance in clearing the area.

Next in line is the second control panel, when it is activated, use the gravity elevator to go down, there you will run into an impregnable door, but we are interested in the panel on the opposite side, where the leak can be traced. Scan the whole thing, then press the interact button to patch the hole. All that remains is to activate the local console, then the door will open, and behind it is the next room we need. You will see a handful of platforms in it.

On each platform there are the same relic control panels, you need to activate each of them in turn, so you get to the left platform, you will see the relics. At this stage we are interested in the panel that is the furthest away, and then run to the platform next to the plant. Appearing platforms will help you, using a jet pack, jump to the place marked by the marker. All these “jumps” will end with us opening the next door, going to the point marked with a marker, and there we will see another video.

After the cutscene completes, run away from this vault, following the marker. Having arrived at the marked point, activate the module. You will have the opportunity to choose what type of outpost to establish here, military or scientific. In the first case, you will have the opportunity to improve your combat arsenal, but in the second, you can count on the fact that your scientific research will be accelerated.

To complete this mission, return to the ship and fly from here to the Nexus in its docking bay. Use the monorail to get to the command compartment, where you will talk to Tann. Thus, this rather protracted mission will be completed.

BioWare's new project has a whole galaxy to explore, but to be ready to take on the responsibilities of a pioneer, it's worth checking out our single-player guide.

Despite the fact that the game in many ways did not live up to the expectations of ordinary gamers, thousands, tens of thousands of people still play it. Even the not-so-high-quality animation and sometimes boring gameplay couldn’t push back the high-profile title, titled with the cult “Mass Effect” banner.

So, if you are planning to sign up for the next ark ship flying towards the Andromeda galaxy in the near future, then it will certainly be useful for you to know what you will encounter in this place, alien to humans and other races of the Alliance.

Forget about side content on the planet Eos (for now)

From the very beginning, the planet Eos greets the player with a very radioactive environment: movement is only possible in relatively small spaces, and going beyond them quickly kills the character and his entire team. Therefore, if you do not want to spoil your impression of exploring the second planet in the game, then leave it immediately as soon as you complete the main task of clearing the atmosphere.

Don't be afraid that you will miss something: all interesting places will remain safe and sound and will be waiting for your return.

After completing the main mission, fly away from the planet and continue along the main plot, and after a while visit Eos again. Thanks to your actions, this planet is no longer trying to kill you. At least not as much as before. You can easily explore the entire location without damage from radiation, and the game will no longer be off-putting with the strange decisions of the development team.

Take your time with research and crafting

If you're playing on Normal difficulty, you won't need to research new technologies or craft equipment at all, but on higher difficulties, especially Madness, Mass Effect: Andromeda can feel quite difficult.

But even in this case, do not rush to spend research points and valuable resources, because they are quite limited in the game, and therefore it is worth thinking carefully about how to use them effectively. For example, some types of armor provide bonuses to biotic skills, and it will be useless to you if you are, say, a technician. Of course, no one is stopping you from creating a hybrid class, but at first it is not recommended to “spread through the tree” if the complexity is set to high.

This is especially true for Milky Way technologies. Research in this branch is the most valuable in the game due to the small number of points available. Moreover, many very good items are concentrated in this branch. For example, the N7 armor, familiar to many from the original trilogy about Captain Shepard.

The situation is similar with craft. Most of the gear that can be crafted can actually be bought from in-game merchants without too much trouble and found in containers scattered here and there. What you really should focus your attention on when crafting items is improving weapons, since it is not always possible to quickly find the necessary “gadgets” at the nearest merchant, because there are plenty of types of weapons in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Another reason not to waste resources on creating starting items: you will end up replacing them in the later stages anyway. And since difficulties will begin precisely there, it is worth saving resources to meet them in full combat readiness.

Don't waste your skill points

An important feature of the Mass Effect: Andromeda role-playing system is that a character can only use 3 active abilities in battle. In game menus they are marked with "circles", while passive abilities are marked with "triangles".

Due to the limit of three active skills, you need to think very carefully about spending the skill points that your character gains by gaining levels. The best option is to develop three active skills from the same branch to the maximum. As a rule, skills of the same type (combat, technique, biotics) are better combined with each other, it is easier to achieve synergy with them and perform combo attacks.

Invest the remaining points in passive abilities. They operate always and under any circumstances.

Of course, no one is stopping you from pumping up more active skills for different combat situations. At later stages, the profile system can be very useful. But at first, try not to waste skill points on everything.

Use the profile system wisely

To some extent, this advice is a continuation of the previous one. In Mass Effect: Andromeda, the player can create combat profiles, each of which can have its own set of active skills. Switching between them allows you to change your character build on the fly and adapt to changes on the battlefield.

The game does not limit you in any way in selecting skills to create profiles, but this does not change the fact that the game has effective builds and not so effective ones. The most useful skills are those that allow you to carry out so-called combo links, and they, in turn, are most easily done using skills from the same branch.

This means that the most logical thing to do is to make one profile for each archetype: soldier, technician and biotic. In each of them, collect three maximally developed abilities, and invest the rest in passive skills.

If you were in a hurry and "scattered" skill points randomly and now you do not have enough points to create truly effective profiles, then return to your ship, the Tempest, and use the special redistribution station. She is located on the lower level, in the medical compartment.

Always try new weapons before giving up old ones

Mass Effect: Andromeda features a very extensive arsenal of a wide variety of weapons. There are almost all samples from previous parts, as well as completely new types of weapons.

Each “barrel” has a unique set of characteristics, as well as reloading animations in battle. And here there is a very “subtle” point: the numbers do not always allow us to understand exactly how the weapon will behave in battle.

For example, the Hoe carbine has impressive damage from one shot, but due to its low rate of fire it is not suitable for every player. The fact is that this can only be found out in battle.

At the same time, it is usually impossible to change equipment in the middle of a mission, and because of this you can end up in a very sticky situation: in two minutes there is a difficult battle with the “boss”, and you have in your hands a stick that, according to the technical passport, is powerful, but is not really it is simply inconvenient to use in this situation.

To avoid such incidents, always try new weapons before abandoning your old ones. Of course, habit decides a lot here, but even a weaker, but familiar weapon can be more useful than an untested new weapon.

It is often better to dismantle unnecessary items than to sell them

As noted above, in Mass Effect: Andromeda the number of resources for crafting is limited, which is why the creation of items should be taken seriously. This is partly why it’s also worth considering whether to sell weapons or armor that you don’t need.

Since the player spends most of his time in little-explored places where there is no proper infrastructure, the conditional value of game money and credits is much lower than in previous parts of the series. Merchants are not encountered very often, and there is little point in constantly returning to the Nexus station: the “bigwigs” there have a meager assortment.

Therefore, it is often better to dismantle unnecessary items rather than sell them. It's much faster - just press one single button, and as a reward you will not receive useless loans, but valuable resources that are almost always needed.

By the way, you can disassemble not only weapons or armor, but also upgrades for weapons. In the game they are divided by efficiency into classes from 1 to 5, so if you have just changed the upgrade on your favorite weapon to the same one, but of a higher quality, then you can safely disassemble the old one - you will no longer need it.

In addition, disassembling items allows you to free up space in your inventory, which is limited to 50 slots. Don't forget about it!

Remember the weight of the weapon, it affects the cooldown of abilities

When you upgrade your character by adding the ability to carry more weapons (up to four types), do not rush to arm yourself to the teeth, because the weight of equipment plays a very important role in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

The fact is that the recovery time of activated skills is proportional to the “load” of the character. We are not talking about the number of items in the global inventory, but only about the equipped weapons. Therefore, if your character deals most of his damage with active abilities, then an advantage in taking 3 or 4 “guns” will greatly reduce the effectiveness.

That is why biotics are usually equipped with a single pistol or, at worst, a shotgun. They do not need assault rifles, massive machine guns, or snipers, since they deal the main damage with biotic skills and their combos.

Don't forget about melee combat and consumables

In Mass Effect: Andromeda, melee weapons are a separate item that can be changed throughout the game. Thanks to this, after some time your pioneer can become a real “butcher”, armed with dangerous melee weapons and picking up a special set of abilities.

At first, you will only have a basic omni-tool, which will hardly allow you to effectively deal with enemies at close range. However, don't ignore the possibility of upgrading or replacing these weapons. For example, the Biotic's special weapons are amazing with the right skills, and the Soldier and Guardian trees have upgrades that can increase melee damage by up to 140%!

Don't forget about consumable items too. These can be ammo amplifiers with various effects such as fire or freezing, shield restorers, ammunition boxes, and even the destructive Cobra charge - the ultimate solution to any problems in battle.

Well, the best part: consumables do not affect your weight, which means they do not limit the speed of ability cooldown in any way.

Always try to have something to remove enemy shields

Of course, the shield is your best friend in Mass Effect: Andromeda, but it is not only friends with you, but also with some opponents. And then knocking down shields can cause a lot of problems, because they “absorb” damage well and can gradually recover if the enemy finds cover and does not receive damage for some time.

In addition to this, the shield (blue bar above health) allows enemies to avoid the effects of many abilities. For example, a biotic push will not move an enemy if they are under a shield. In addition, many abilities deal only a fraction of their nominal damage to shields.

To avoid the need to remove shields from the same enemy several times, always keep something in your arsenal that allows you to remove them in a very short time, so that you can then finish off the enemy with your main weapon or using an ability.

Some of the latter are precisely designed to remove shields. For example, “Overload” for a technician. It deals great damage to shields, but has little impact on health or armor.

If your character build doesn't have these abilities, you can come up with something else. For example, use rapid-fire weapons or use special “electric” cartridges using the appropriate “consumables”.

If you were unable to kill the enemy while he was without a shield, then try to at least delay their recovery. An igniting weapon is best suited for this, but in general any weapon that causes damage over a certain period of time will do, even if it is minimal.

Penetrate armor correctly

Shields are far from the only obstacle to the enemy’s “carcass”. Some types of enemies are armored and their health is yellow. There are not many of them, but battles with them can also be difficult due to the fact that the armor perfectly absorbs normal damage.

Unlike shields, armor holds up well against rapid-fire weapons, so to effectively fight against armored targets it is best to use heavy weapons that fire rarely but accurately. These are shotguns, sniper rifles and all kinds of grenade launchers.

Also, abilities that deal fire damage are very effective against armor. And if they are not at hand, then you can use incendiary and cryo-cartridges.

The fight is faster than ever

One of the most important changes to the combat system of Mass Effect: Andromeda is the noticeably increased dynamics. The character moves faster, and can also jump and make lightning-fast leaps in any direction. Opponents have also become much more maneuverable and can sometimes close the distance with you in a matter of seconds.

Old tactical schemes are outdated, and therefore you will have to learn again, using new opportunities. Try to always be higher than your opponent; to do this, jump onto high places. Remember that enemies will rarely "spawn" above you, so height will often be your saving grace.

Each of the hostile factions received special units that attack exclusively in close combat. These are the “dogs” of the kett and robbers, and small drones of the relics. They can cause a lot of problems, and to avoid being in an awkward position, look around often. If you see an enemy using melee combat, jump in the opposite direction from him.

Horse races can also be very useful when, in the heat of a firefight, your shields are removed and your health begins to drain. In this case, you need to retreat as quickly as possible in order to wait out the danger and restore shields. The jumps are very helpful with this, and a skilled trailblazer will be able to use them to move to cover almost instantly.

Return to the Tempest after every major mission

This advice is unlikely to be useful to those who have played past games in the Mass Effect series, but not every newcomer knows that many dialogues with characters are tied to the progress of the main plot.

Therefore, after completing the next story mission, do not be lazy to return to your ship, the Storm, and chat with the crew members. They will probably tell you a lot of interesting things and, perhaps, if you are courteous enough, they will offer you an affair.

Also, don't forget to return to the Nexus Station sometimes. Its inhabitants also periodically receive new dialogue lines and side quests.

Upgrade the Nomad transport and use it

The locations in Mass Effect: Andromeda are much larger than in , and it is not always effective to explore them on foot. On the planet Eos you will find a garage, and in it - the Nomad transport. With it, traveling will become much faster and more fun.

By the way, Nomad has very useful functions. Firstly, by clicking on the right mouse button, you will activate the high-traction mode, which, in turn, will increase the cross-country ability of the vehicle several times. Secondly, the Nomad can accelerate by pressing the Shift key and even jump using the Spacebar.

If you liked this all-terrain vehicle, then you can improve it by using the research center on the Tempest. The corresponding technologies can be obtained by talking with an engineer from the Angara race. It is located at the rebel base, which you will definitely visit during the main storyline.

Use shock troops and get free loot

Arriving at the Nexus, you will meet many characters and have time to talk to them a lot. One of them, a turian in charge of the station's security, will tell you about the strike force system and give you access to the interface for managing them.

Shock troops can be sent on special missions. You cannot participate in them yourself, unless they are special APEX missions for online play. Tasks are divided by rank into bronze, silver and gold. The higher the rank, the more difficult it is for the squad to complete the task, and the time required for this increases.

As a reward for completing a task, the player receives special points with which he can improve his squad. But what’s more important is that each completed task gives you several containers with free equipment.

These containers are the only way to endlessly obtain items, resources and game currency. Therefore, if you cannot progress through the game further, then you can start “farming” missions for shock troops. Sooner or later you will get enough items to strengthen yourself and still pass the difficult section.

In this guide we will look at deciphering the Relic code inMass Effect: Andromeda . These are Sudoku-style puzzles, only from the future, which means you match symbols rather than numbers.

Now we will tell you how to do this in the easiest way, and at the end you will find already solved relics.

The rules of the game are as follows: in front of us is a field, with a certain amount cells. These cells are divided into sections, which are clearly framed by blue lines. Some cells contain symbols, and in the rest we need to substitute other necessary symbols. How is this done? The main rule is that new symbols must not simultaneously coincide with symbols from the same section, in the same horizontal line and the same vertical line. Everything is very simple, but sometimes you have to work hard.

Also in some cells you can see question symbols. This means that by scanning the area near the relic console, you can find cables at the ends of which there are symbols that replace question marks.

Next we proceed to manual deciphering the relic codeMass Effect: Andromeda and selection of symbols. First, fill in those elements in which there is only one symbol left to find, for example, in a section of 4 cells, 3 are already filled, you just need to insert the remaining symbol into the fourth and you’re done. The same goes for vertical and horizontal lines.

Then we look at where else we can substitute only one character. Try not to overcomplicate the task or guess, otherwise the whole puzzle may be wrong.

Another trick is to give each symbol some meaning, for example, I redraw them on a piece of paper and in front of each I write a number and present them in such a way so as not to get confused.

If for some reason you are stuck and cannot go further, you can always use relic decryption keyMass Effect: Andromeda , but they are difficult to find, especially at the very beginning, so try to find the solution yourself.
