This is the troparion and kontakion of the feast of the Position of the Honorable Belt of the Most Holy Theotokos, which is celebrated on September 13 (August 31, old style) - but they are not necessarily read only on this day, it can be on any other, both over the Belt itself, and over the ribbon consecrated on Belt, and whenever you need help and support from the shrine, and through it - from the Mother of God herself.

And if it’s especially difficult for you, and you need immediate help, following the Mother of God rule, which, according to legend, the Mother of God herself gave to people from Heaven back in the 8th century, will help. But after some time it turned out to be forgotten, and Seraphim of Sarov reminded him of it, who himself fulfilled this rule, and blessed his spiritual children in the Diveyevo monastery to do the same.

Theotokos rule

Actually, the Theotokos rule is to read the “Song of the Most Holy Theotokos” 150 times:

Virgin Mary, Rejoice, O Blessed Mary, the Lord is with You; Blessed are You among women and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, for You have given birth to the Savior of our souls.

But you need to read it this way, not continuously 150 times in a row, but after every ten add other prayers, special for each ten. Thus, we divide the reading of the prayer into fifteen dozens, corresponding to the fifteen main events in the life of the Mother of God. And when reading each ten, one must remember precisely the event corresponding to it.

Reading the first ten, we remember the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. After the first ten, we pray for parents, children and relatives, and read the prayer:

O Most Holy Lady Theotokos, save and preserve Your servants (names of parents and relatives), and rest those who died with the saints in Your eternal glory.

Reading second ten, we remember the Entry into the Temple of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Then we pray for those who are lost and have fallen from the faith:
