General information

Contrast water procedures bring tangible benefits to the body. The procedure involves alternating hot ( up to 45 degrees), and cold ( up to 20 degrees) water. Contrast shower perfectly refreshes and hardens a person.

If we consider the effect of hot and cold water on the body separately, we can find many disadvantages. For example, when cold water gets on the skin, the body perceives it as stress, and the adrenal glands begin to intensively secrete adrenaline. Of course, for those who suffer from heart disease, the effect of cold water on the skin will be negative. The action of hot water ( for example, a long stay in a hot bath), can lead to a decrease in the body's protective functions.

But if you alternate hot and cold water, this has a completely different effect on the connective tissue and blood vessels. This is an excellent refreshing, invigorating and hardening remedy. Warm water relaxes, and cold water strengthens blood vessels and increases their tone.

Benefit

A contrast shower is a very useful procedure. Under the influence of heat, the pores of the skin open, the blood vessels begin to expand, and toxins come out of the body. And sudden exposure to cold causes the pores to shrink. Thanks to this contrast, the skin is cleansed and becomes smooth. When contrast washing, you don’t have to use soap, or use it no more than once a week.

The alternating action of heat and cold strengthens the vessels, the walls of which become elastic; blood circulation increases, blood stagnation resolves. Metabolism is activated and the immune system is strengthened. Alternate irritation of tactile, cold and heat receptors stimulates the functioning of the nervous system and normalizes the activity of the endocrine system, activates redox reactions. This tool is not only very useful, but also affordable!

Some scientists are inclined to believe that contrast douches and hardening can cure cancer.

Hardening

Contrasting water procedures are a type of hardening. Doctors define hardening as a set of measures that increase the body’s resistance to unfavorable climatic conditions, and also help the body develop conditioned reflex mechanisms of thermoregulation in order to improve it.

Hardening procedures include natural factors: sun, air, water. Hardening procedures, when carried out correctly, can increase endurance and performance. In addition, psychological qualities are also trained by hardening: perseverance, determination.

Our individual reaction to heat or cold depends on us ( we do not take into account, for example, attacks of allergies to cold - in such cases we cannot regulate this process consciously). A hardened person is exposed to cold in the same way as an unhardened person, but the cold does not disturb his constant temperature: when such an organism cools, it produces more heat, releases less of it to the external environment, and increases metabolism. This ensures the normal flow of all biochemical and physiological processes in the body.

A contrast shower is a good home alternative to, for example, winter swimming. In both cases, the correct approach to the procedure is required.

Requirements: not only systematic and regular implementation of procedures, but also a correct understanding of the temperature regime and its effect on health. If a person with the best intentions, in order to recover from a cold and quickly harden himself, immediately begins to douse himself with ice and hot water, this will not bring any benefit to the body. On the contrary, the person will get even more sick.

Consistent and gradual implementation of hardening procedures is especially important for children. After all, the main rule of using all medical procedures and medications is “Do no harm.”

When hardening, you should be guided by the medical rule that a weak and medium irritant improves functions, and a very strong one causes harm. An example is hardening the feet with cold water. If an unprepared person immerses his feet in very cold water, then he experiences a rush of blood to the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract and nose. Because of this, body temperature rises, mucus production increases, which creates favorable conditions for the growth and reproduction of pathogenic microflora. Weakening of the body, coupled with the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms, leads to the development of inflammatory processes. But if you cool your hands in the same way, then such a reaction from the body simply will not happen. This can be explained by the fact that the hands are much more often exposed to thermal influences, and they are more hardened than, for example, the feet, which are protected by shoes.

But if you regularly and gradually harden your feet with cold water, then symptoms from the mucous membranes in the form of a runny nose will become less and less pronounced, and, in the end, will simply disappear. After this, you can move on to a full-fledged contrast shower, in the same way gradually increasing the procedure time and increasing the temperature contrast.

Contraindications

Under no circumstances should a contrast shower be used for hardening and healing for those people who have a severely weakened immune system, otherwise it will lead to the opposite result. It is advisable for sick people to refuse to use contrast procedures, or to at least reduce the temperature contrast.

It is also undesirable to experience the effect of a contrast shower if you have: constantly high blood pressure, heart disease; thrombophlebitis; tumors.

How to take it correctly?

A sign that contrasting procedures are right for you is a feeling of energy and vigor after a shower.

If after a shower you feel severe chills and freezing of your extremities, it means that the temperature regime was chosen incorrectly. In this case, you should adjust the temperature of hot and cold water so that you do not experience discomfort.

You need to take a contrast shower in the morning, after gymnastics ( if you do it) and before breakfast. The duration of the procedure is 5 - 8 minutes. When carrying out the procedure, you should not pour over the head, but only the body. A proper contrast shower should start with warm water and end with cold water.

In the first week of getting used to contrast procedures, you should douse yourself with moderately cool and moderately warm water. In the second and third weeks, you can already douse yourself according to this scheme: 1 minute of warm water - half a minute of cool water - half a minute of warm water - half a minute of cool water. This number of differences will be sufficient for now, and such a procedure will be short in time. In the fourth week, you can increase the number of changes and thereby increase the procedure time to the recommended one. You can gradually increase the temperature contrast, moving from moderately warm water to hot, and from cool to cold. The optimal temperature difference is 25 - 30 degrees.

After a contrast shower, under no circumstances should you immediately go outside. The procedure should end with thorough rubbing with a hard towel, and only 30 minutes after rubbing can you go outside.

Those who begin performing contrast procedures after hearing about their benefits sometimes make a serious mistake that can negatively affect their health and well-being. For example, a person douses himself with cool water for a week in a row without reducing its temperature to the recommended value. After this he falls ill. It turns out that the temperature of such water seriously cools the body, but at the same time it is not yet so cold as to activate the immune system. But if you suddenly, but not for long, douse yourself with very cold water, then the body does not have time to cool down much, but the nervous system receives a powerful shock, and at the same time the immune and thermoregulatory mechanisms are launched.

The procedure must be performed every day. Daily systemic contrast procedures will have a complex effect on the body. Before performing a contrast shower, you need to “get used to the water.” To do this, you first need to stand for a few minutes under the shower, set to room temperature. Then you need to douse yourself with hot water for a minute, and then stand in cool water for just half a minute. You need to perform these steps several times.

Getting used to it will not come right away, but by repeating a similar workout for three to four days, you can not only get used to it, but also “get a taste for it.”

Regularly pouring hot water over your head will cause your hair to fall out, and your vision may begin to deteriorate. Therefore, it is better not to pour the head along with the body, but to do separate short procedures for it with not too contrasting temperatures.

Rubbing is drying the body after a contrast shower using a terry mitten or a hard towel. By drying after a shower, the stratum corneum is removed from the skin and blood circulation increases.

First you need to wipe your head, if it is wet, in the direction from the periphery to the center. After this, run the towel from your fingers up along your limbs. The chest is wiped in a circle, starting from the center, gradually increasing the radius of its circular movements. The belly is wiped in the same way, but the circular movements not only widen, but also narrow back towards the navel. Then comes the turn of the lower back, which is rubbed from the bottom up, in the direction from the tailbone. The back is massaged from bottom to top, along the spine.

For weight loss

The temperature contrast trains the blood vessels, and thanks to this, blood flow throughout the body increases, not excluding problem areas. Increased trophism significantly improves the speed of metabolic processes, activates the breakdown of fat, and promotes skin tightening. The weight loss effect will be better expressed if you combine a contrast shower and hydromassage. Any weight loss product is better absorbed into the skin and works more effectively with increased blood flow.

Contrast procedures go well with wraps for the whole body, with any types of massage: honey, lymphatic drainage, general, anti-cellulite.

It is recommended to carry out contrast procedures in the morning, but if this does not work, then you can do it in the evening, but in this case you need to finish the procedure not with cold, but with slightly cool water. It is advisable to carry out a contrast shower in parallel with a massage with water jets. To do this, the shower head should be kept at a distance of approximately 20 cm from the body. If you move the shower in a circle, capturing the stomach, chest, buttocks, then such movements will additionally increase blood circulation.

Contrast showers for weight loss also have contraindications: colds, fibroids, ovarian cysts, tumors, circulatory disorders.

By massaging your body and doing contrasting douches for weight loss, you can not only get rid of excess fat, but also make the skin of your buttocks, abdomen, and chest elastic and soft. And besides this, your health will improve, and colds will no longer be scary for you.

For varicose veins

If veins protrude on the lower extremities, it means that their walls have stretched under blood pressure and become thinner. This means that blood circulates poorly in the veins due to malfunction of the venous valves. This stagnation of blood progresses and over time adds trouble to the sick person. For women, this problem also has cosmetic significance - bluish veins swell, lift the skin, and form unsightly protruding spots on the skin. The legs become not as beautiful as they were before, which cannot but upset the woman.

A contrast shower for varicose veins is useful in that by increasing blood flow and increasing venous tone, the phenomena of stagnation in the veins, which cause their protrusion, are eliminated. Even if you do not have varicose veins, it is still better to use a contrast shower, since it is an excellent prevention of this disease.

As a rule, no woman avoids this disease with age. The cause of varicose veins is wearing heels, stress on the lower limbs during pregnancy, etc. The myostimulating effect of contrast procedures for varicose veins has been proven by doctors.

Strengthening the walls of blood vessels is also the prevention of varicose veins. Any creams and ointments designed to improve the condition of the veins work more effectively after preliminary preparation in the form of contrasting water procedures.

The rule of a contrast shower for varicose veins: Cool water should be cooled slowly and gradually, and the temperature of warm water should not be increased sharply, because varicose veins themselves are dilated, and hot water can expand them even more. If used incorrectly, contrast procedures can be harmful.

For potency

Contrast showers are useful for men, increasing their potency.

Requirements for contrast procedures in the intimate area: not too big a temperature difference ( so as not to catch a cold); rubbing the genitals after a shower until the skin turns red. The mechanism of beneficial action is the same as for other disorders that a contrast shower treats: increased blood flow eliminates most stagnant problems and activates beneficial functions of the body.

For children

The benefits of hardening for children have been proven for a long time. To make them immune to colds and runny noses, you need to regularly carry out contrast douches.
The effect of the procedures will gradually come, but you should not expect instant results. Pediatricians can provide parents with information about general hardening standards. However, they always need to be adjusted within the framework of an individual approach to the child.

The basic principles of hardening are regularity and gradualness.

Of course, you cannot expose a child to a contrast shower if he is unwell ( colds, flu, etc.). And if the child has a chronic disease ( chronic bronchitis, for example), then you should change the hardening tactics and start it not with a contrast shower, but with air baths.

Young children under seven years old are advised to walk at an ambient temperature of 13 to 22 degrees. The walk can be short - up to half an hour, or long - up to an hour.
For sick children, the procedure for taking air baths may be somewhat shorter, but the air temperature must be several degrees higher.

Pediatricians consider water procedures to be a more reliable means of hardening. It is better to start them in early autumn or summer, and for children who are often ill, it is better to do water procedures exclusively in the summer, until the body gets stronger.

Rubbing is such a simple procedure that a child can do it on his own. To do this, you need a soft sponge or bath mitten soaked in warm water ( approximately 30 degrees Celsius). You can add table salt to the water, this will improve the effect ( add 50 grams of salt to 5 liters of water).

First, wipe your arms and legs, then your chest and stomach, and your back. Be sure to rub yourself with a dry towel until the skin turns red - this kind of massage is very useful. Every week you can reduce the water temperature by one degree. The procedure itself should take no more than two minutes.

Subsequently, if the baby tolerates the rubdown well, you can move on to the most effective hardening method at home - a contrast shower. Initially, the temperature of the water for a contrast shower should be several degrees higher than the water for wiping. Then you can reduce it gradually and smoothly to 15 - 20 degrees. The duration of a contrast shower for a child should be no more than 2 - 3 minutes. Another fairly effective means for hardening is foot baths.

You can accustom your child to contrasting procedures from the age of one year, and you need to start hardening with air baths and dousing your feet. By the age of one and a half years, the child can be slowly placed under a contrast shower.

Pouring your feet with cool water, the temperature of which slowly and steadily decreases, gives remarkable results. You need to start with a temperature of 28 degrees, reducing it every two days for three weeks by one degree.

In older children ( from five years) good results are shown by gargling with water of contrasting temperature: warm, cool, cold. This procedure is best done in the morning while brushing your teeth.

Hardening, contrast showers, and other measures to strengthen the immune system and general health are included in the concept of physical education. This is a convenient and easy way to make yourself and your family healthier.

What will happen to your body if you douse yourself with cold water every day?

I think that no reasonable person doubts that hardening is useful for any person. But, Firstly, not everyone understands the esoteric side of hardening, and the influence of hardening on subtle bodies, for example. A secondly, you can harden in different ways, and here it is important that the hardening process itself is comfortable and enjoyable, and does not put the body and the entire nervous system under stress. And believe me, it is possible.

In this article I will talk about my favorite type of hardening of the body, which, among other things, wonderfully trains and develops my body - this is a Contrast Shower!

What does Contrast Soul give and why exactly?

1. A contract shower, which is very important, allows you to smoothly, gradually enter the process of hardening your body, step by step increasing the temperature difference. You can generally start with a comfortable summer (room) temperature. Here you yourself regulate the temperature, protecting the body from stress and the nervous system from pain shock (if you are not trained in this regard).

2. You can take a contrast shower right at home, in your apartment, although this can be done if you have both hot and cold water. This is convenient and will take you a maximum of 10 minutes, and the effect, with constant hardening, will be enormous.

3. After a few months (sometimes weeks) of hardening with a contrast shower, you will begin to generate so much heat that you will eventually stop freezing. Although this does not work for everyone who has problems, many complexes and fears (emotional pressures), the person will quickly lose energy and still feel cold. But most will become less sensitive to cold and, importantly, to heat too.

4. Contrast shower - wonderfully trains, unblocks and opens (pumps up energy) a person. With regular practice, the etheric body begins to grow, sometimes increasing in thickness several times - from 0.5 cm to 2 cm, this is a very good indicator.

5. And of course, a contrast shower is a wonderful prevention against many diseases and a good workout for your immune system. For example, I have not been sick and have not taken medications for more than 13 years. In 14 years I have not spent a penny on medicine for myself. Impressive? I’m surprised myself:) True, all this, to be honest, is not only due to hardening, but primarily thanks to development, spiritual and energetic, and constant work on oneself.

I hope I convinced you! Now let's move on to the hardening technique.

How to harden yourself with a contrast shower

1. Technique. You alternate between taking a warm (hot) shower and a cool (cold) shower. Do 3-4 cycles (cold-hot) for a minute or two or three (as long as you can stand it or as desired). It is important to have time to warm up well, so that it becomes hot, and to cool down completely, so that the cold makes you feel hot and the self-heating resources turn on (this is when the etheric body begins to work and releases heat).

2. You need to start from a low contrast and a comfortable temperature, then gradually increase the contrast. In each subsequent run (cycle), turn on increasingly cold and hot water. This way you get to the hottest and coldest possible water. The greater the temperature difference, the stronger the effect, the greater the energy gain, but this must be achieved gradually.

Note: the proper effect will be achieved only if the cold water is really cold. In the summer, the water from a cold tap may not flow cold, but warm, like in a river warmed by the sun. This makes the hardening process difficult. In hot weather, it is better to harden yourself in some cold spring or in a special place for this, where there is cold water or snow.

A contrast shower and a developed etheric body endows a person with certain properties. In summer, you will learn to tolerate the heat easily, and your body will even be cool when others are dying from the heat. And in winter, you will stop freezing, and in the best case scenario, you will have so much energy that you will be warm even in severe frost.

In winter, a contrast shower is just super! Again, there must be hot water.

Have a good hardening, never get cold or get sick!

Hardening with water. Benefits of cold water hardening:

The most common and effective method of hardening is cold water. Hardening with cold water helps the body get used to low temperatures, thereby significantly improving health and preventing diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

Cold baths invigorate and increase performance. Constriction and dilation of blood vessels is good gymnastics for the cardiovascular system. Water procedures stimulate the activity of the heart, lungs, brain, nervous system, and strengthen the immune system.

Cold water causes an initial chill due to the movement of blood to the internal organs, and then the vessels dilate and a feeling of warmth appears. The duration of this sensation depends on the temperature of the water (cold or cool) and the degree of hardening.

The most accessible and simple hardening methods are rubbing and dousing cold water. Hardening begins with them. It is better to start hardening in spring and summer, and continue in the fall and winter.

Water procedures are distinguished into:

cold (water temperature below 20 degrees),

cool (22-30 degrees).

indifferent procedures (34-35 degrees),

warm (36-40 degrees),

hot (above 40 degrees).

Hardening with water. Rubbing with cold water:

When wiping, quick movements are required. Rubbing the entire body continues for 1-2 minutes with a wet sponge or towel. When the body gets used to rubdowns, you can start dousing.

Hardening with water. Pouring with cold water:

When starting to douse with water, they begin with indifferent procedures (in order to endure it calmly, without irritation) and, by gradually reducing it, bring the water temperature to 12 degrees. Gradually increase the duration of dousing to 2 minutes.

After taking a shower or bath, quickly pour a bucket of cool water (not ice) over your neck and shoulders. This procedure must be repeated 2 times a week, reducing the water temperature by 1 degree. Regularity is very important, otherwise the hardening effect is lost and there will be no benefit, but only harm, because This is a serious stress for the body.

When finished, rub the skin with a towel. You should not bring yourself to the point of secondary chills, as this negatively affects your health.

Best time to douse with water morning hours after sleep. The desired temperature in the room where hardening is carried out is 18-20 degrees. Depending on the degree of hardening, water procedures can be carried out at lower temperatures and even outside, after gymnastic exercises.

It is useful to harden the body by washing and pouring your feet.

Hardening with water.Washing feet:

* When washing your feet, immerse your feet in water at room temperature for 1 minute, then rub with a towel until you feel warm. The duration of foot baths is increased daily by 1 minute, gradually increasing them to 10 minutes and every three days the water temperature is reduced by 1 degree. After 2 months the water temperature should be 5-7 degrees.

* Second option for washing feet: Every evening, wash your feet at a water temperature of 28-30 degrees, which you gradually reduce by 1-2 degrees until you reach 12-15 degrees. First, keep your feet in the water for 1 minute, then increase the time day by day, bringing it up to 3 minutes.

Hardening with water.Pouring feet:

Pouring the legs is carried out in a contrasting way:

* First option for pouring feet: For this you will need two containers. Hot water, above 40 degrees, is poured into one, and cold water, 10-15 degrees, is poured into the other. First, you need to pour hot water on your foot for 1-2 minutes, and then cold water for 1 minute. Finish by pouring hot water over your feet for 30 seconds, then thoroughly rub and massage them. The cold water temperature needs to be reduced every 2-3 days and finish up to 3-5 degrees.

* Second option for dousing your feet: Place two basins with hot – 35 degrees and cold – 20 degrees water. Immerse your feet first in hot water, then immediately in cold water, 2-3 times each. Increase the hot water temperature by 1 degree every week. And so - up to 40-42 degrees. And reduce the temperature of cold water by 1 degree, bringing it to 15 degrees. Keep your feet in hot water for 2-3 minutes, in cold water for 30 seconds.

Hardening with water. Pouring your knees with cold water:

Pouring knees with cold water good way to harden. This increases blood circulation throughout all vessels. For people who are especially sensitive to cold, as well as the elderly and weak, it is better to start hardening by wiping your feet with a damp towel at night. First, wet the towel with water at room temperature, then reduce it by 1 degree every day. After a week, you can switch to washing or pouring your feet. If you notice that these procedures do not worsen your health, but increase your immunity to cold, then you can move on to walking barefoot.

Hardening with water.Hardening of the nasopharynx:

In parallel with dousing the feet, it is recommended to harden the nasopharynx.
Gargle with water (+25-30 degrees), every 10 days lowering the temperature by 1-2 degrees, gradually bringing it to the temperature of tap water. It is also advised not to wrap your neck and breathe through your nose.

Hardening with water. Walkingin cold water:

This method, simple at first glance, hardens the body, has a beneficial effect on the genitourinary system, the respiratory system, improves intestinal function and relieves headaches.
This procedure is carried out at home, in a regular bath. First pour water up to your calves, and then up to your knees. Initial walks are no longer than 1 minute. Gradually increase the time to 5-6 minutes.

First, pour a little warm water, then the water temperature should be gradually reduced to cold by adding cold water to the bath. Immediately after leaving the water, do a variety of movements until your body warms up.

To increase blood circulation in the extremities, it is recommended to immerse your legs up to your knees in cold water for 1 minute, and immediately after that, immerse your arms up to your shoulders in the water, also for 1 minute.

Hardening with water. CONTRAST SHOWER. HOW TO TAKE A CONTRAST SHOWER?

The shower affects the body both by temperature and by mechanical action, causing great excitement.

It is not recommended to take a cool or cold shower immediately after great physical exertion - you need to cool down and wipe off the sweat with a towel. Shower duration is 1-2 minutes. First, take a shower with a water temperature of +30-35 degrees. Then they gradually reduce it by 1-2 degrees and bring it to +15 degrees. Showering is beneficial for everyone, but especially for people who lead a sedentary lifestyle.

A contrast shower is a very effective way of hardening and a good prevention of various vascular diseases. The water temperature in the contrast shower suddenly changes from hot to cold.

Start pouring from the feet - up to the knees and hands - up to the elbows. Over time, gradually increase the area of the body surface being poured. Hot water is poured over for 1.5 minutes, cold water for 1 second. And they do this 5 times. After a shower, rub yourself with a terry towel.

It must be remembered that the result of hardening does not appear immediately, but over time and only with systematic hardening. When hardening procedures are stopped, resistance to cold is lost.

Water hardening:WINTER SWIM:

Scientists believe that winter swimming in ice water activates all physiological processes and hardens the body well. But before you become a walrus, you should definitely consult a doctor.

It is better to do winter swimming (“winter swimming”) not alone, but with a group of winter swimming enthusiasts, where constant medical monitoring is carried out. It should be remembered that severe hypothermia can be harmful for many sick and elderly people.

And hypothermia is completely unacceptable for those who have suffered a myocardial infarction or have severe kidney disease.

The basic rules of hardening - gradualism and consistency - must also be observed when winter swimming in ice water.

It is better to start preparing for winter swimming in the summer, swimming daily in a river or lake, and then continue the swimming season in autumn and winter.

You can start in winter too. If you regularly take a cold shower or bath at home and add air and snow procedures to them, then without much difficulty you can go to swimming in the ice hole. It is better if there is a warm room or bathhouse near the ice hole. These procedures should be combined with physical exercise.

Do you feel tired, drowsy and low in energy in the morning? You can't pull yourself together and get down to important things? Can you only dream of vigor and energy? Contrast shower as an effective method of hardening children

Hardening children is an excellent method of healing the child’s body and strengthening the immune system. It is a must for all children, as it helps fight frequent colds.

However, this process is gradual and lengthy. It's important to stock up patience and get ready for a long day of work. Every child needs individual approach.

You should begin to harden your child when he absolutely healthy. Air baths and walking barefoot are a good place to start, and then move on to water procedures.

Contrast shower and douches- useful procedures that kids really like. As a rule, they enjoy playing in the water, dousing themselves, and taking both warm and cold showers. However, if your child is scared or doesn’t like something, don’t force him. Baby should show interest yourself to this hardening method.

The ideal time of year to start water hardening is summer.

Start with wiping with cool water. The child's body is wiped with a sponge or washcloth with water at 30-32 degrees. After a few weeks you can move on to dousing. For the first procedures, make the water 1-2 degrees warmer than when rubbing. The duration of the dousing should last no more than 1 minute.

After one or two months have passed since the start of the douches, you can try to do contrast shower for the baby. First, pour warm water over it (approximately 36 degrees) for 30 seconds, then pour water at 34 degrees. Of course, in the first days it is better to determine the water temperature using a thermometer. After about 15 days, you can increase the difference between temperatures by another 2-3 degrees. Thus, in about three months you need to bring this difference to 15 degrees: warm water - 36 degrees, cool water - 20-21 degrees. At the end of the water procedure, thoroughly dry the child with a terry towel.

THIS IS ONE OF THE SAFEST, EFFECTIVE AND, IMPORTANTLY, COST WAYS TO COUNTER THE THREAT OF COLD DISEASES. THE ONLY MINUS IS THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HARDEN YOUR ORGANISM INSTANTLY. THIS IS A LONG-TERM PROCESS AND REQUIRES A REGULAR APPROACH. BUT THE GAME IS WORTH THE CANDLE! THIS IS HOW TO CORRECTLY TEMPERATE WITH WATER IN THE SHOWER!

HOW TO CORRECTLY TEMPERATE WITH WATER

WATER TREATMENTS

It is better to start hardening with a contrast shower. Stand under a stream of warm water and warm your whole body well. Then pour cold water over it, pouring it into a previously prepared container (the initial temperature of the water should be 20-25°C, but gradually it will be reduced to 15-17°C). Water should be poured onto the top of the head, but for the first few times it is better to limit it to the chest. Get back into a warm shower. When you warm up, repeat the procedure. And so on at least three times. Contrast procedures should be completed by dousing them with warm water. After water procedures, pat your body dry with a towel, but do not rub it with a sponge or hard cloth.
After 10-15 days of regular contrast procedures, you can gradually lower the temperature. After a month of regular training, try dousing yourself with cold water without heat preparation. If the water temperature is not lowered, the procedure becomes meaningless.
Before water procedures, it is recommended to perform simple physical exercises (warm-up) to warm up the body - then it will be easier to endure the cold.

REGULAR APPROACH

The key to the success of hardening procedures is their regular implementation. If you douse yourself with cold water only once a week, the effect of such hardening is minimal. It should be practiced daily and not interrupted, even when you feel slightly unwell (for example, sore throat, runny nose). The fact is that dousing with cold water is a serious load for the body, which mobilizes its defenses, and, accordingly, it will be possible to overcome the impending cold faster.
It is very important at what time of day the hardening is carried out. Recommended - in the morning. Since the procedure stimulates the nervous system and brain, after it a person feels energetic all day long. But in the evening, after 19:00, it is better not to harden yourself - otherwise you will be awake half the night.

BENEFITS OF HARDENING

By hardening our body, we bring it invaluable benefits: the tone of the central nervous system increases, blood circulation improves, immunity is strengthened, metabolism is normalized, mental and physical performance is activated.

CONTRAINDICATIONS TO HARDENING

It is better to avoid hardening procedures for people who suffer from hypertension, serious cardiovascular diseases, patients with renal failure, those who have had a heart attack, and also during periods of exacerbation of diseases.

PREVENTION BY CALENDAR: TO THE DOCTOR - AS SCHEDULED

WE ALL KNOW PERFECTLY THAT WE NEED TO MONITOR OUR HEALTH NOT FROM CASE TO CASE, BUT ACCORDING TO A SCHEDULE. TRUE, WE DO NOT ALWAYS FOLLOW THIS RULE. BUT ONLY BY PASSING REGULAR EXAMINATIONS CAN YOU IDENTIFY AND PREVENT ILLNESSES, AND MEANS, KEEP YOUR BODY AND SOUL VIBRANT FOR LONG YEARS. OUR HEALTH CALENDAR WILL HELP YOU PLAN WELLNESS EVENTS FOR THE AUTUMN.

OCTOBER

First decade: having exhausted summer resources, the skin requires additional hydration and nutrition. Also, after exposure to sunlight, age spots may appear on it. During this period, you can carry out a whitening procedure.
Second decade: visit a therapist to find out on the eve of the cold season whether it is worth getting vaccinated against the flu. If yes, you need to do it before the outbreak of the epidemic. We remind you that vaccination cannot be done during periods of exacerbation of allergic or chronic diseases.
In case of a cold, vaccination can be carried out only a month and a half after recovery.
After you have been vaccinated, take your temperature in the morning and evening for the first three days. If it is elevated or there are other unpleasant symptoms, be sure to consult a doctor.
Third decade: visit the dentist, even if you are not bothered by pain. After the summer-autumn abundance - vegetables, fruits, juices, sweet drinks - it is better to check the condition of your teeth.

NOVEMBER

First ten days: make an appointment with a gynecologist, get tested for flora and do an ultrasound of the pelvis. If treatment is needed, it is better to carry it out in the autumn, without waiting for the winter cold.
Second decade: take a massage course - this is the right period: it is no longer as hot as in summer, and severe frosts have not yet arrived. A massage will help relieve fatigue and restore vigor.
Third decade: take vitamins and microelements to prepare for the period of vitamin deficiency. Consult your doctor about which medications you should take and in what doses. And without amateur performances! You should not prescribe a course of vitamin supplementation for yourself.

PLEASE NOTE!

Do not forget that you should regularly undergo the following examinations:

2 times a year - examination by a therapist, dentist, gynecologist
. Once a year - general blood and urine analysis, oncocytology, ECG, ultrasound of the pelvic organs, ultrasound or mammography of the breast; checking the condition of the liver (gastroenterologist), vision and hearing organs (ophthalmologist, otolaryngologist)
. Once every 2 years - blood test for sugar and fluorography
. Once every 3 years - blood test for cholesterol
. Once every 5 years - check the condition of the thyroid gland

This “schedule” is designed for healthy people. If you have certain problems with your health, you should visit doctors more often.
