Until 2017, tests were the main form of knowledge testing. Firstly, a third is added to the two mandatory exams - it should be history. True, the name of the third item has not yet been firmly established, but at the beginning academic year this information will already be made public. That is, you will have to take the Russian language, mathematics and, most likely, history - more precisely, it will be known by the date of the Unified State Exam 2017.

Secondly, RAO ( Russian Academy Education) insists on the introduction of a point scale for grading essays. To today The essay was assessed according to only two criteria: pass or fail. This, according to representatives of the Russian Academy of Education, negatively affects the knowledge of students and gives advantages to those students who are simply too lazy to study literature - it is much easier to get a “pass” in an essay than an “A”.

Thirdly, on Unified State Exam results The grades on the certificate will also influence. The higher the scores for school subjects, the higher final grade for the state exam.

Fourthly, if the points scored do not reach the threshold level, students will be given the opportunity to retake the Unified State Exam twice more. It will also be possible to take a retake if the student for some reason is not satisfied with the points he scored.

So, at the Unified State Exam, schoolchildren will have to take one of their choice. They can be taken several times until the student finds the result satisfactory.

In addition to the main and reserve days, the Unified State Examination process itself also provides for a third period - a retake. The right to retake is granted to every student - both those who did not reach the minimum threshold and those who simply want to improve their own results and score more points. The Unified State Exam retake usually takes place in September, most often in the first half of the month. However, the schedule for a possible retake will be known only by August 2017.

Extra points

Additional points may be added for exam scores. So, 10 points can be added to:

• for a certificate with only A's;
• for prizes won at Olympiads in school subjects;
• for achievements in sports.

Considering the possible addition of points, it is worth thinking about taking the Unified State Exam in advance: taking part in olympiads and competitions in all subjects, not just specialized ones; increase your level of knowledge, striving for excellent grades; participate in the sports life of the school.

Exam schedule (draft)

Rosobrnadzor announced the calendar for the final test in 2017. Next year, it is proposed to conduct the unified state exam in three stages: in the spring - the preliminary stage and in the summer - the main stage. The early period for taking the Unified State Examination will begin on March 14 and continue until April 7.

There are additional days (15-16, 21-23 April) for retaking the final work in all subjects. The main period will begin on May 29 and will last until June 30. Additional feature The Unified State Examination will be given on June 22-24, 27-28, and 30.

What both stages have in common is that items to be submitted on the same day are grouped in the same way. But the order in which they are carried out is completely different. The spring stage will begin with basic level mathematics (March 21). A day later (March 23), history with computer science and ICT takes up the baton. On March 25, all graduates take the Russian language test.

Students will take specialized level mathematics on March 28. On March 30, everyone who has chosen this subject will test their knowledge of social studies. The first day of April is allocated for geography with literature, the second of April - for physics with chemistry. The oral part of a foreign language can be taken on April 8, and the written tasks the next day. On the same day, the examiners will take biology.

Reserve days for early delivery and for the main stream do not coincide for the Unified State Exam in subjects combined on one day. High school students taking exams in the spring will be able to take advantage of an additional chance on April 15 to retake the Russian language, and the next day for mathematics. Computer Science and ICT, Chemistry, Literature are combined for a second chance on April 21.

Humanities subjects (social studies, history, foreign language) can be retaken on April 22. Rest educational subjects postponed to April 23 - oral foreign language, physics, biology and geography.

Reserve days for the main stage will begin on June 22, 2016 with a retake of geography and chemistry, foreign language and social studies, computer science and ICT. The oral part of a foreign language can be taken on June 23. The next day has been allocated by the organizers of the Unified State Exam for another opportunity to take physics and history, literature and biology.

Two days next week (June 27 and 28) are designated for an additional attempt to pass the Russian language and both levels of mathematics. On June 30, you can take the exam for everyone in any subject if for some reason you were unable to get the desired score in the subject in the main time.

Noteworthy is the peculiarity of the schedule of final exams for graduates in 2016: a special day is allocated for the social studies exam. This is due to the fact that many graduates choose this USE subject. After the Russian language and mathematics, social studies ranks first among all exams chosen by students.

In 2016, a third (additional) deadline appears for passing the Unified State Exam. The reserve stage will be held in September. It is intended for testing in traditionally compulsory disciplines: mathematics (September 10) and Russian language (September 17). The last opportunity to get the desired score in these subjects is September 24.

What innovations will bring

The 2016 Unified State Exam calendar allows graduates to attempt to pass the exam in a separate subject three times. This is good news. Of the three attempts to pass the Unified State Exam in the subject, the one that gives the maximum score for the exam will be selected. Therefore, those who did not reach the required minimum (the so-called threshold) can also try to retake it. And those who believe that they were simply overly worried during the Unified State Exam and know the subject with a higher score.

Psychologists say that the opportunity to repeat unsuccessful attempt passing the exam will lead to a decrease in the level of anxiety in the graduate. The absence of nervousness will allow the child to relax and show his knowledge to the maximum.

Along with the advantages, the changes will bring disadvantages. Graduates of 2016 will not find test tasks in KIM in four more subjects. If in 2015 test questions disappeared in mathematics, literature, Russian language. Now it will not be possible to select one correct answer from the four proposed ones in computer science and ICT, geography, history, and social studies.

In the future it is expected completely remove test questions from CIMs in all subjects. It will not be possible to guess the answer without knowing the material of the topic studied.

The passing score for obtaining the status of a student of a higher educational institution will again be determined in advance. Compared to 2015, it will increase. The opportunity to retake the Unified State Exam three times gives hope of still gaining required quantity to pass the competition and enter the university.

Admission to the Unified State Exam

In December 2014, I passed a trial version of admission to the Unified State Exam. It was an essay on literature. Today's eleventh graders will definitely have to write such an essay. The deadline for the final essay in literature is December 2. The intended themes are also known. There are five of them:

• year of literature;
• time;
• Love;
• path.

No grades or points will be awarded for the masterpiece written. All assessment comes down to two results: “pass” or “fail”. “Pass” allows the student to take the Unified State Exam in all other subjects. If you receive a “failure,” you can try to rewrite the final essay. The dates for a possible retake are known: February 3 or May 4.

You are allowed to attempt to rewrite the final essay once. The second attempt to write it and get admission to the Unified State Exam will be allowed only after a year. It is planned to write the final essay in conditions as close as possible to the conditions for the implementation of the unified state exam. This counts psychological preparation every student at a crucial moment.

To obtain a certificate, you must cross the minimum threshold for two generally required academic disciplines: Russian language and mathematics. A profile exam in mathematics is necessary for those students who want to enter educational institution, where scores in this subject are taken into account. For a graduate who has not passed the specialized mathematics course, the path to university is closed.

The principle of constructing the schedule has changed slightly this year. As in previous years, the schedule for passing the Unified State Exam in 2016 provides for the main dates for passing the tests and a reserve period when those who are qualified to take the Unified State Exam good reason couldn't make it on the main dates. At the same time, a fairly large proportion of “reservists” are usually schoolchildren who did not have time to pass the certification within the main deadlines due to the coincidence of exam dates.

However, there will be fewer of the latter in 2016 than usual: the schedule compilers analyzed the statistics and came to the conclusion that the social studies exam is very popular among graduates. Therefore, a separate day was allocated for this subject in the schedule.

As a result, the Unified State Exam 2016 schedule contains four pairs of “matching” exam dates:

• history and computer science;


• geography and literature;


• biology and foreign language (written part).

Most “parallel” subjects belong to different profiles and are rarely required for admission at the same time (with the exception of physics and chemistry). It is expected that this innovation will help the majority of eleventh graders complete the exam epic before June 20 and come to school graduation party, having already said goodbye to textbooks.

Schedule of early period for passing the Unified State Exam in 2016

Not all eleventh graders can take the Unified State Exam in March-April - school course for most subjects by March it is considered not yet completed, and to participate in the early period you need good reasons. An exception is subjects that are no longer taught in the 11th grade (for example, geography, the study of which is completed in the 10th grade) - they can be taken as part of early period all schoolchildren, and this could become in a good way“unloading” of the main examination period.

Among those who can qualify for participation in the “spring wave” in other subjects are boys and girls who will participate in all-Russian and international competitions or competitions; graduates of evening schools going to military service; as well as schoolchildren who at the beginning of summer will be in sanatoriums or other medical institutions. They will be joined by those who will soon go to live and study in other countries. In addition, graduates of previous years can take the Unified State Exam in March-April; students of technical schools and lyceums; school graduates from other countries.

The exam marathon will begin on March 21, the first on the Unified State Exam 2016 schedule will be a basic-level mathematics exam.

The main stage of passing the Unified State Exam 2016: exam schedule

Most eleventh graders take the Unified State Exam during the main period. Compulsory for all graduates, as last year, are exams in the Russian language and mathematics (basic or specialized level; if desired, an eleventh-grader can take both options at once).

In order to be admitted to the exams, schoolchildren must obtain a “pass” by writing. Eleventh graders wrote it on December 2, and for those who did not cope with this task the first time, two days are provided for retaking it - February 3 or May 4. There are not so many graduates who will have to write an essay again - according to statistics in different regions of Russia, the number of schoolchildren who received a “failure” varies from 1 to 3%.

Schoolchildren who have chosen geography or literature as additional subjects will be the first to take the Unified State Exam 2016 - they will take them on May 27. From June 30 to June 6 – delivery period mandatory Unified State Examination, from 8 to 20 there will be exams in other disciplines. From the 20th to the 28th are reserve days, and for Russian and mathematics they are “dedicated” (June 27 and 28, respectively).

In addition, the Unified State Exam 2016 schedule provides for a “single reserve day” on which it will be possible to take any of the subjects – June 30.

Dates of the additional period of the Unified State Examination 2016

Schoolchildren who have not passed the threshold in Russian or mathematics can now retake the exam without waiting for the next school year. In addition to them, those who missed the main deadlines or were unable to complete their work for good reasons will also be able to take the Unified State Exam in September.

In September, exams are held only in compulsory subjects:

• basic or specialized mathematics can be retaken on September 10;


• the additional Unified State Examination in the Russian language will take place on September 17;


• The single reserve day for the “autumn wave” will be September 24.

All fall exams will be held on Saturdays. This can be regarded as a “trial balloon”.
