But it is worth noting that cash on delivery is not a guarantee that the buyer will actually receive the product he ordered. After all, payment for a parcel, according to postal rules, is made before it is handed over to the recipient. That is, the buyer sees a box with certain contents, pays for it, and only then has the right to open it. There is a way out of this situation -

There are certain risks for sellers when sending goods by cash on delivery. The recipient may not pick up the item addressed to him, if only because he “changed his mind.” In this case, the cargo will be returned to the sender. No. At least, I personally have not found a single transport company that provides cash on delivery service to individuals. All large shopping centers that work with cash on delivery provide such services only to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs or on the basis of a concluded agreement.

Terms of the “cash on delivery” service from transport companies

Below are just some of the conditions for cash on delivery. All data is taken from official websites. On most TC sites the information is blurry. Only on the PEC website there is a normal agreement for the provision of the “cash on delivery” service.

Cash on delivery (NRG-Cash service) from a transport company "Energy".

One of the most famous companies in the cargo transportation market is Business Lines LLC. It has existed since 2001, has an extensive vehicle fleet and more than a hundred branches in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan. In addition to large shipments, the company also delivers small-sized cargo and documents with the following parameters:

  • size in one of three dimensions – up to 0.4 m;
  • the sum of three dimensions is not more than 1.1 m.

Transportation is possible between all cities in which the company has branches. The cost of sending a parcel by a transport company includes delivery from the sender's address to the recipient's address (this is only possible within the city). A person can deliver the parcel to the terminal independently, but the price of the service will not change.

To send cargo, you need to fill out an order form on the website or at a company branch. Then a receiving invoice is issued, which is the main forwarding document. If the sender or addressee is an individual, then not only the first name, last name and patronymic, but also passport data are indicated.
