What to do to prevent Warface from crashing. Why does the War Face game always turn off after starting the game? Why does Warface crash?

Which allows millions of players to act on the fields of virtual battles as a professional mercenary, in order to suppress the aggression of an opponent. Indeed, this game project is interesting, high-quality in terms of implementation and quite popular among all fans of multiplayer entertainment. But, as often happens, even the most best games not without problems. Warface has poor optimization and unreasonable slowdowns. Therefore, in order to finally understand the pop-up troubles, you can read this article, which will tell you why Warface slows down, how to deal with it, and what exactly causes frequent freezes.

What kind of game?

Before dealing with the problem, it is worth taking a closer look at the object of analysis itself. So, this game project is a virtual shooter that allows you to try on the role of a mercenary. Each user can easily select a soldier class, select a weapon and enter the battle. Battles take place in a team PvP format, where players try to achieve their goals and a positive outcome of the battle. For a successful gaming session, users are rewarded with virtual currency and experience, i.e. resources that allow you to develop, purchase new types of weapons and join clans. The profile represents the fighter’s statistics, which can be used to determine how well the user plays and whether he is worth taking into a team, clan, or So why does Warface slow down and cause discomfort? Unfortunately, there can be many reasons, and some of them are the result of not very careful work of the developers themselves.

System Requirements

So, the fundamental element due to which the comfort in the game decreases is the optimization of the project and the power of computer hardware. The fact is that the common technical requirements for this project are underestimated, and for a stable gaming session you need to have a 2-core processor with a frequency of 2.5 Hz, 3 GB of RAM and a GeForce video card with 512 MB of video memory. Isn't it true that they differ from official data? That is why you should be more attentive to information and news about the game. That's why system requirements may be one of the reasons why Warface is slow.

Other reasons

But don't focus your attention on technical requirements, since, in addition to them, there may be other problems that cause friezes. For example, a poor Internet connection, overloaded servers, too many running tasks on the computer, etc. It would take a long time to list the problems that cause Warface to slow down, but most of them still arise due to the characteristics of the game client itself, new updates and modifications that the users themselves use.

How to fix it?

How can you correct all the situations that do not allow you to play your favorite game normally? Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to fix all the problems, so don’t be upset if freezes occur in the game. If your computer is powerful and the Internet is fast, and you run the game client without loads, additional programs and modifications, then you just have to wait a little, the developers themselves will correct this situation. Therefore, you should not panic when Warface slows down: “What should I do, what should I do, delete the client and who to blame?” Because with a little analysis you can identify the reasons for this. The main thing is to determine exactly where it comes from: your computer, developers or the Internet. It is the identification of the central link in the occurrence of brakes that will allow you to plan your actions and resolve the situation that has arisen. Now you know why Warface slows down and what to do if freezes occur during the game. The rest depends only on you and your actions.

Work is work, but I also like to relax and play. I won’t say that I’m an avid gamer and it usually lasts me for a day or two. However, a couple of months ago I found a good shooting game, in some sense similar to Counter-Strike. Called WarFace. I was playing and everything would be fine, but suddenly crashes began to occur during the game, namely during missions the client lost the connection to the server, which was reported by three monitors with a red cross between them...

The most interesting thing was that I was thrown into the game menu, and not from it, and I could immediately connect to the game again, although losing all the accumulated points and frags.

I was guilty of a bad connection, however ping, tracert And speedtest They assured me that everything was OK with the connection. I scored on WarFace for a couple of days, in the hope that it would go away on its own or the developers would tweak the servers, but when I returned, the problems did not disappear.

After spending some time Googling, I suddenly thought, maybe the problem is with the wifi router?

Here it should be noted that two communication channels are connected to my PC, the first 1 Gbit/s channel directly to the server, second 100 Mbit/s to a wifi router, which in turn is connected to a server (and the server already acts as a gateway).

So, having checked tracert I discovered that the packets actually go through the router. Well, the channel through the router is only needed so that I can log into its control panel, so by turning it off I won’t lose anything. No sooner said than done. I check the trace to the game servers again (or to the website, it doesn’t matter):

tracert wf.mail.ru

tracert wf . mail. ru

and made sure that now the packets go through the channel that goes directly to the server, bypassing the router. I launch the game and the lags disappear!!!

That's the news, the premonition did not disappoint. Now googling the keyword " warface router setup", I ended up in a forum thread: "Solving the problem with crashes" there they advise adding your IP to the DMZ:

I looked in my firmware DD-WRT, there is also a similar thing:

I don’t know how effective this solution is - I didn’t bother with it, I was happy with the method in which I simply disconnect the interface to the router.

I made this decision because... I don't have a router Dlink, A LinkSys, accordingly, the reason may be something else, but there is no time for testing yet..

Of course, you can also register the IP of the servers so that the packets go through the desired subnet (for this you can use the command route), but I'm too lazy for now :)

CONCLUSION: If you have the same problems and the Internet comes to you through a wi-fi router and not through a wire, the first thing I advise you to check is how much the picture will change when connected directly with a wire, without a router.

If this did not help you and you solved the problem in another way, write about it in the comments and help others!

Visual diagram of what I did:

Green and blue are wires. Those. There were two channels on the PC, through which you can receive the same Internet from the server.

When downloading, a message appears stating that “the files are damaged” or “waiting for distribution availability” or the download simply freezes at a certain point:

Check your Internet connection and whether antivirus software is blocking downloads from mail.ru servers.

If any of the above errors occur, restart the game center and start downloading again. Also check in advance whether there is free space on your computer’s hard drive.

If you downloaded Warface from a torrent, or copied it from a friend, and the game center requires you to install the game, check that the path specified in the settings to your downloaded distribution is correct.

This happens when game servers are overloaded, as well as when the Internet is unstable. You should wait and try again later.

Problem with downloading:

check if the game distribution is correct. It should only be downloaded using the official loader, also called the game center. Download it.

Starting the game

If warface does not start for you, there may be several reasons, and almost everything can be solved.

What to do first:

  • Reinstall or update directX to latest version
  • update drivers - for processor, motherboard, video card.
  • For video cards from Nvidia - update or install the Physics-X application.
  • Check that the installed client path is correct. The path must be written in Latin characters, Cyrillic is not recommended.
  • In the properties of the Warface shortcut, try different launch modes (run as administrator, etc.)

Error Failed to initialize the GameStartup Interface (it is not possible to initialize the game interface)

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Games\Warface
and delete the game.cfg file. Completely close the game client and start again.

Game version mismatch - restart Game Center and let it update.

When you enter the game, an empty window opens with an “accept” button - check ports 5222 and 60000 - they should be available. Try turning off all other running programs, perhaps they are occupying the necessary ports.

The video card is not supported - check if all hardware meets the minimum configuration?

It crashes immediately after launch - check your Internet connection, you should not use a proxy server, if you have one - disable and restart warface.

Problems while playing

The "warface" program has stopped working - the game crashes to the desktop.

try deleting the ModelsCache folder from the profile folder of the game client.

To do this, follow these steps:
- press win+r;
- enter the path* to the Warface profile folder and press Enter;
- completely delete the ModelsCache folder.

*If you are using the Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system, enter the following path: %userprofile%\Saved Games\My Games\Warface
If you are using Windows XP, you must enter %userprofile%\My Documents\My Games\Warface

After deleting the folder, launch the game again.

Textures disappear or glitch:

Update the drivers for your video card, set all settings to minimum and gradually increase until glitches appear.

Also, the cause of glitchy textures may be CATALYST Control Center from Radeon. Go to settings and disable everything related to graphics modification in applications.

Also, do not forget to check the temperature of the processor and video card, for example with the hwmonitor program.

The connection to the server is lost - the Internet has dropped out, or if the error is repeated constantly - your router (modem) is faulty. The firmware should be updated and configured according to the instructions from the manufacturers.

The application is not running because it is not configured correctly - you have a problem with the Microsoft .NET Framework - update or reinstall the application.

Failed to initialize - reinstalling the game will help you.

The mouse twitches and disobeys - You should go to Start -> Control Panel -> Mouse and go to the “Pointer Options” tab. Uncheck the “Enable increased pointer accuracy” checkbox and voila! Everything works well :)

Errors related to third-party applications:

Banfdicam, fraps and other programs should be launched BEFORE starting the game.

If you have any questions or problems, ask them in the comments! We will help you!

Unfortunately, many players often have problems with the game crashing. Most often this happens in PVP battles, but the problem can manifest itself in other modes. Players simply see the following message:

According to the developers, they have already collected all the necessary information from users who sent their error data and are now busy actively identifying the cause of the crashes.

Reasons for departures

So far we can name a few of the most probable causes such departures and ways to solve them:

  • Weak system
  • Outdated drivers
  • Cache problems
  • Network problems

Weak system

Most likely one of your computer components does not match necessary game conditions, it could be a weak video card or an outdated processor. Teach that the computer needs to be updated so that there are no distortions in performance, you should have the most balanced system.
If you have laptops with hybrid video cards, then your game may be running from an integrated processor chip that is very weak and not designed for 3D games. You can make sure that games run through a powerful video card in the settings of your drivers.

Outdated drivers

Drivers for various devices are updated very often, and often users do not have time to update them regularly, as a result of which situations arise that your system becomes hostage to the software that controls the operation of the video card and other devices.
In order to constantly update all your drivers, you can install special programs that batch update drivers for all your devices; such programs significantly simplify your life and should save you from many problems.

Cache problems

It is possible that the crashes are due to the fact that your game models were cached incorrectly. If other methods do not help, then along the path C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\My Games\Warface, find the ModelsCache folder and delete it, it is better to do this immediately after the next game crash.

Network problems

  • One of the reasons for game crashes may be an unstable internet connection. In order to make sure that your connection meets the required minimum, check its quality on the speedtest website, and you can also verify this using the ping command in the console.
  • Also, one of the reasons may be a direct connection of the router to the computer, but receiving the Internet via wi-fi. If you have a similar situation, then simply unplug the cable from the computer and everything should work.

These were the main problems that may prevent you from enjoying the game, but all crashes are individual. If you are unable to solve the problem yourself, then write about it in the comments, we will definitely help.

Video

If you did not find a solution to your problem in the article, you may be able to do it using a video

Warface is a popular multiplayer online shooter game. Over the several years of its existence, it attracted the attention of an audience of millions, but gained real popularity exclusively in Russia. In 2015, the largest championship was held between the best teams in the game with a large prize fund, which ensured a steady influx of new players into Warface.

However, despite the popularity and regular updates, many users experience difficulties, if not with installing the game, then with the gameplay. One of the most sensational issues on the World Wide Web has been problems with crashes. Why are players kicked out of Warface every 5 minutes? We will look at the answer to this question in today's guide.

Lost connection to server

Lost connection to the server - one of the most common problems, which players encounter when crashing. This means that problems arose during the exchange of data between the game server and the user’s personal computer. In most cases, the problem lies in the incorrect operation of network equipment.

Solution:

  • reboot your network equipment. It's best to turn it off for a few minutes and restart it;
  • if you are using Wi-Fi, try connecting directly;
  • close other applications, programs and games that require Internet resources (torrent clients, Steam and others);
  • Using USB modems means problems with the Internet connection while playing.

You are excluded by the security system

You are kicked out by the defense system - this is a bug in the defense system that automatically kicks users out during combat. As a rule, the function helps developers fight violators, but over the past few months it has also worked on honest players.

Solution:

  • check the client for file integrity. Launch the game center and, going to the Warface tab, click the “Game Control” button. In the menu that appears there will be an option to check and restore files of the installed game client;
  • Check your hard drive for errors. To check, open the dialog box (Start - Run) and enter cmd. On the command line, enter the command chkdsk C: /f, where C is the drive letter. If the disk is a system disk, confirm rebooting the system and wait until the check is completed;
  • when using RaidCall, disable the overlay function;
  • Uncheck the box next to “Continue distributing after downloading” in the game center settings.

Automatic game completion

It often happens that the game just crashes without errors or any notifications. In such cases, it is worth conducting a comprehensive check of the personal computer and the game client to identify the problem.

Solution:

  • reinstall the game, disabling the firewall and antivirus. This will help exclude the game client from the list of problems;
  • check hard drive for the presence of viruses, as it is possible that they are blocking the connection;
  • reinstall the drivers for the video card and motherboard, as well as DirectX. Drivers are often the main cause of problems with games or programs;
  • Check the temperature of the video card and CPU while gaming. If the temperature is too high, the power supply automatically cuts off the power supply to prevent the consequences of overheating.

Technical support

If the above methods did not help identify and solve game crash problems, we strongly recommend writing to technical support specialists. Experts will help you get rid of crashes from the game and explain what caused them.

The Crytek studio was previously known to all gamers for games such as Crysis, Far Cry and Rome. But at the beginning of 2012, the developers introduced Warface, a multiplayer online shooter. The game immediately became popular not only in the CIS, but throughout the world. It is worth noting that the game is distributed under a Free-to-play license, which means that anyone can download it absolutely free. Well, let's get down to business and look at the main bugs that can cause problems with the game.

Minimum hardware requirements:

  • Windows XP/Vista
  • Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 4.5 GB free space on your hard drive
  • Video card with 256 MB
  • Internet access

Does your system fit these parameters, but still have some glitches? Then move on to the next points.

Warface crashes while loading

The official forum says that this problem occurs among those who use Avast or Comodo antivirus programs. There may also be problems when using Fraps. Accordingly, if you really use any of this software, then simply disable it and try to start the game again.

Error "Failed to initialize the GameStartup Interface!"

To get rid of this bug, you need to reset your settings. But since Warface does not start, the solution is not so obvious. We need to manually delete the game.cfg configuration file, which is located in the %USERNAME%\Saved Games\My Games\Warface (Win Vista / 7) or %USERNAME%\My Documents\My Games\Warface (Win XP) folder.

Game freezes and very low FPS

If you have a laptop that has integrated and discrete video cards, then it is quite possible that Warface uses the built-in one, which is weaker. You need to make changes in your system settings so that games use only the discrete graphics card.

For those who have NVIDIA: open the “Control Panel” -> select “NVIDIA Control Panel” -> “Manage 3D Settings” -> open “Program Settings” -> click “Add” and select the exe file from the Bin32Release directory.

For those with ATI: right-click on the desktop -> select “Switchable graphics settings” -> go to “Other applications” and click “Select” -> find and click on the Game.exe file, which is located in the Bin32Release folder .

Most likely, this will remove the lags and you will be able to play comfortably. But if you don't have a laptop, then you need to set the mappings. How to do it:

  1. When the game is running, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete
  2. In the task manager, go to the “Processes” tab
  3. Find Game.exe there and right-click on it
  4. In the context menu, select “Set Match”
  5. Then in the window that appears, uncheck all the boxes and leave only one (any)

After all the steps have been completed, you can close the task manager and return to the game. FPS should increase and stuttering should disappear.

Error “There is already an application running. Cannot start another one!

It’s easy to guess that the system notifies you that Warface is already running, although this is not the case. You need to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and in the task manager in the “Processes” section, terminate Game.exe. After this, the game will launch without problems.

Other errors

Note that Crytek is constantly working to improve the game and release new updates. Sometimes it happens that Warface starts to crash after an update. Don’t worry, 99% of the time the problem is not in your system but in the new patch. You just have to wait until the new one comes out and update.

It also happens with connection problems. Sometimes the servers are unstable, which is why many players are unable to connect. Wait a while and you will be able to play again.

Any other questions? Feel free to write them in the comments.

Unfortunately, games have flaws: stutters, low FPS, crashes, freezes, bugs and other minor and not so minor errors. Often problems begin even before the game starts, when it does not install, does not load, or does not even download. And the computer itself sometimes does weird things, and then in Warface there’s a black screen instead of a picture, the controls don’t work, you can’t hear the sound or anything else.

What to do first

The second thing to do if you encounter any problems with Warface is to check the system requirements. In a good way, you need to do this before purchasing, so as not to regret the money spent.

Warface minimum system requirements:

Windows XP, Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 2.0 Ghz, 2 Gb RAM, 6 Gb HDD, Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT 256 Mb

Every gamer should at least have a little understanding of components, know why a video card, processor and other things are needed in the system unit.

Files, drivers and libraries

Almost every device in a computer requires a set of special software. These are drivers, libraries and other files that provide correct work computer.

You should start with the drivers for your video card. Modern graphics cards are made by only two large companies- Nvidia and AMD. Having found out which product drives the coolers in the system unit, we go to the official website and download the latest driver package:

Required condition For the successful functioning of Warface, it is necessary to have the latest drivers for all devices in the system. Download the utility Driver Updater to easily and quickly download the latest drivers and install them with one click:

If Warface does not start, we recommend that you try to disable your antivirus or put the game in the antivirus exceptions, and also check again for compliance with the system requirements and if something from your build does not comply, then, if possible, improve your PC by purchasing more powerful components.

Warface has a black screen, a white screen, and a color screen. Solution

Problems with screens of different colors can be divided into 2 categories.

Firstly, they often involve using two video cards at once. For example, if your motherboard has a built-in video card, but you play on a discrete one, then Warface may launch for the first time on the built-in one, but you won’t see the game itself, because the monitor is connected to a discrete video card.

Secondly, color screens occur when there are problems with displaying images on the screen. This can happen for various reasons. For example, Warface cannot work through an outdated driver or does not support the video card. Also, a black/white screen may appear when working at resolutions that are not supported by the game.

Warface crashes. At a specific or random moment. Solution

You play for yourself, play and then - bam! - everything goes out, and now you have a desktop in front of you without any hint of a game. Why is this happening? To solve the problem, you should try to figure out what the nature of the problem is.

If the departure occurs in random moment time without any pattern, then with a 99% probability we can say that this is a mistake in the game itself. In this case, it is very difficult to fix something, and it is best to just put Warface aside and wait for the patch.

However, if you know exactly at what moments the crash occurs, then you can continue the game, avoiding situations that provoke a crash.

However, if you know exactly at what moments the crash occurs, then you can continue the game, avoiding situations that provoke a crash. In addition, you can download a Warface save and bypass the crash site.

Warface freezes. The picture freezes. Solution

The situation is approximately the same as with crashes: many freezes are directly related to the game itself, or rather to the developer’s mistake when creating it. However, often a frozen picture can become a starting point for investigating the deplorable state of a video card or processor.

So if the picture freezes in Warface, then use programs to display statistics on component loading. Perhaps your video card has long exhausted its working life or the processor is heating up to dangerous temperatures?

The easiest way to check the load and temperatures for the video card and processors is in the MSI Afterburner program. If you wish, you can even display these and many other parameters on top of the Warface image.

What temperatures are dangerous? Processors and video cards have different operating temperatures. For video cards they are usually 60-80 degrees Celsius. For processors it is slightly lower - 40-70 degrees. If the processor temperature is higher, then you should check the condition of the thermal paste. It may have already dried out and needs to be replaced.

If the video card is heating up, then you should use a driver or an official utility from the manufacturer. It is necessary to increase the number of revolutions of the coolers and check whether the operating temperature decreases.

Warface is slow. Low FPS. Frame rate drops. Solution

If there are slowdowns and low frame rates in Warface, the first thing to do is lower the graphics settings. Of course, there are many of them, so before reducing everything, it’s worth finding out exactly how certain settings affect performance.

Screen resolution. In short, this is the number of points that make up the game picture. The higher the resolution, the higher the load on the video card. However, the increase in load is insignificant, so you should reduce the screen resolution only as a last resort, when everything else no longer helps.

Texture quality. Typically, this setting determines the resolution of the texture files. The texture quality should be reduced if the video card has a small amount of video memory (less than 4 GB) or if you are using a very old hard drive with a spindle speed of less than 7200.

Model quality(sometimes just detailing). This setting determines which set of 3D models will be used in the game. The higher the quality, the more polygons. Accordingly, high-poly models require more processing power from the video card (not to be confused with the amount of video memory!), which means this parameter should be reduced on video cards with low core or memory frequencies.

Shadows. They are implemented in different ways. In some games, shadows are created dynamically, that is, they are calculated in real time at every second of the game. Such dynamic shadows load both the processor and the video card. For optimization purposes, developers often abandon full rendering and add pre-rendered shadows to the game. They are static, because essentially they are just textures overlaid on top of the main textures, which means they load memory, and not the video card core.

Often developers add additional settings related to shadows:

  • Shadow Resolution - Determines how detailed the shadow cast by an object will be. If the game has dynamic shadows, it loads the video card core, and if a pre-created render is used, then it “eats” the video memory.
  • Soft shadows - smooths out unevenness in the shadows themselves, usually this option is given along with dynamic shadows. Regardless of the type of shadows, it loads the video card in real time.

Smoothing. Allows you to get rid of ugly corners on the edges of objects through the use of a special algorithm, the essence of which usually comes down to generating several images at once and comparing them, calculating the most “smooth” picture. There are many different anti-aliasing algorithms, which differ in the level of impact on the performance of Warface.

For example, MSAA works head-on, creating 2, 4 or 8 renders at once, so the frame rate is reduced by 2, 4 or 8 times, respectively. Algorithms like FXAA and TAA work a little differently, achieving a smooth image by calculating only the edges and using some other tricks. Thanks to this, they do not reduce performance as much.

Lighting. As with anti-aliasing, there are different algorithms for lighting effects: SSAO, HBAO, HDAO. They all use video card resources, but they do it differently depending on the video card itself. The fact is that the HBAO algorithm was promoted mainly on video cards from Nvidia (GeForce line), so it works best on “green” ones. HDAO, on the contrary, is optimized for video cards from AMD. SSAO is the simplest type of lighting; it consumes the least resources, so if Warface is slow, it’s worth switching to it.

What to reduce first? Shadows, anti-aliasing and lighting effects tend to take the most work, so it's best to start there.

Gamers often have to optimize Warface themselves. Almost all major releases have various related forums where users share their ways to improve productivity.

One of them is a special program called WinOptimizer. It is made specifically for those who do not want to manually clean their computer of various temporary files, delete unnecessary registry entries and edit the startup list. WinOptimizer will do this itself and also analyze your computer to identify ways to improve performance in applications and games.

Warface is lagging. Large delay when playing. Solution

Many people confuse “brakes” with “lags,” but these problems have completely various reasons. Warface slows down when the frame rate at which the image is displayed on the monitor decreases, and lags when the delay when accessing the server or any other host is too high.

This is why “lags” can only happen in online games. The reasons are different: bad network code, physical distance from servers, network congestion, incorrectly configured router, low speed Internet connections.

However, the latter happens least often. In online games, communication between client and server occurs through the exchange of relatively short messages, so even 10 MB per second should be enough.

There is no sound in Warface. I can't hear anything. Solution

Warface works, but for some reason does not sound - this is another problem that gamers face. Of course, you can play like this, but it’s still better to figure out what’s going on.

First you need to determine the scale of the problem. Where exactly is there no sound - only in the game or even on the computer? If only in a game, then perhaps this is due to the fact that the sound card is very old and does not support DirectX.

If there is no sound at all, then the problem is definitely in the computer settings. Perhaps the sound card drivers are installed incorrectly, or maybe there is no sound due to some specific error in our beloved Windows OS.

Warface controls don't work. Warface does not recognize the mouse, keyboard or gamepad. Solution

How to play if it is impossible to control the process? Problems with supporting specific devices are inappropriate here, because we're talking about about familiar devices - keyboard, mouse and controller.

Thus, errors in the game itself are practically excluded; the problem is almost always on the user's side. You can solve it in different ways, but, one way or another, you will have to contact the driver. Usually, when you connect a new device, the operating system immediately tries to use one of the standard drivers, but some models of keyboards, mice and gamepads are incompatible with them.

Thus, you need to find out the exact model of the device and try to find its driver. Devices from well-known gaming brands often come with their own software packages, since the standard Windows driver simply cannot ensure the correct operation of all functions of a particular device.

If you don’t want to search for drivers for all devices separately, you can use the program Driver Updater. It is designed to automatically search for drivers, so you only need to wait for the scan results and download the necessary drivers in the program interface.

Often, Warface slowdowns can be caused by viruses. In this case, it makes no difference how powerful the video card is in the system unit. You can scan your computer and clean it of viruses and other unwanted software using special programs. For example NOD32. The antivirus has proven itself to be the best and has been approved by millions of users around the world.

ZoneAlarm is suitable for both personal use and small businesses, capable of protecting a computer running Windows system 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP from any attacks: phishing, viruses, malware, spyware and other cyber threats. New users are given a 30-day free trial.

Nod32 is an antivirus from ESET, which has received many awards for its contribution to security development. Versions of antivirus programs are available on the developer’s website for both PCs and mobile devices, a 30-day trial is provided. Eat special conditions for business.

Warface downloaded from a torrent does not work. Solution

If the game distribution was downloaded via torrent, then in principle there can be no guarantees of operation. Torrents and repacks are almost never updated through official applications and do not work over the network, because in the process of hacking, hackers cut out all network functions from games, which are often used to verify the license.

Using such versions of games is not only inconvenient, but even dangerous, because very often many files in them have been changed. For example, to bypass protection, pirates modify the EXE file. At the same time, no one knows what else they do with it. Perhaps they are building in a self-executing software. For example, when the game is first launched, it will integrate into the system and use its resources to ensure the well-being of hackers. Or, giving access to the computer to third parties. There are no guarantees here and cannot be.

In addition, the use of pirated versions is, in the opinion of our publication, theft. The developers spent a lot of time creating the game, investing their own money in the hope that their brainchild would pay off. And every work must be paid.

Therefore, if any problems arise with games downloaded from torrents or hacked using one or another means, you should immediately remove the pirated version, clean your computer with an antivirus and a licensed copy of the game. This will not only protect you from dubious software, but will also allow you to download updates for the game and receive official support from its creators.

Warface gives an error about a missing DLL file. Solution

Typically, problems associated with missing DLLs occur when launching Warface, however, sometimes the game can access certain DLLs during the process and, not finding them, crash in the most blatant manner.

To fix this error, you need to find the required DLL and install it on the system. The easiest way to do this is using the program DLL-fixer, which scans the system and helps quickly find missing libraries.

If your problem turns out to be more specific or the method outlined in this article did not help, then you can ask other users in our “” section. They will help you quickly!

Thank you for your attention!

If you are faced with the fact that Warface slows down, crashes, Warface does not start, Warface does not install, controls do not work in Warface, there is no sound, errors pop up, saves do not work in Warface - we offer you the most common ways to solve these problems.

First, check whether your PC's specifications meet the minimum system requirements:

  • OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
  • Processor: Intel/AMD dual-core 2.0 GHz
  • Memory: 1.5 GB
  • Video: 256 MB (GeForce8600 GT/ATI Radeon X1950)
  • HDD: 6 GB

Be sure to update your video card drivers and other software

Before you remember the worst words and express them towards the developers, do not forget to go to the official website of the manufacturer of your video card and download the latest drivers. Often, drivers specially optimized for them are prepared for the release of games. You can also try installing a later version of drivers if the problem is not solved by installing the current version.

It's important to remember that you should only download final versions of graphics cards - try not to use beta versions, as they may contain large number no errors found or corrected.

Don't forget that for stable operation games often require installation of the latest version of DirectX, which can always be downloaded from the official Microsoft website.

Warface won't start

Many problems with launching games occur due to incorrect installation. Check if there were any errors during installation, try uninstalling the game and running the installer again, after disabling the antivirus - often files necessary for the game to work are deleted by mistake. It is also important to remember that the path to the folder with the installed game should not contain Cyrillic characters - use only Latin letters and numbers for directory names.

It also doesn’t hurt to check if there is enough space on the HDD for installation. You can try to run the game as Administrator in compatibility mode for different versions of Windows.

Warface is slow. Low FPS. Lags. Friezes. Freezes

First, install the latest drivers for your video card; this can significantly increase the FPS in the game. Also check your computer's load in the task manager (opened by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESCAPE). If before starting the game you see that some process is consuming too many resources, turn off its program or simply end this process from the task manager.

Next, go to the graphics settings in the game. First of all, turn off anti-aliasing and try lowering the post-processing settings. Many of them consume a lot of resources and disabling them will significantly improve performance without significantly affecting the quality of the picture.

Warface crashes to desktop

If Warface often crashes to your desktop slot, try to start solving the problem by reducing the quality of the graphics. It is possible that your computer simply does not have enough performance and the game cannot run correctly. It's also worth checking for updates - most modern games have a system for automatically installing new patches. Check if this option is disabled in the settings.

Black screen in Warface

More often than not, the problem with a black screen is an issue with the GPU. Check if your video card is compatible minimum requirements and install the latest drivers. Sometimes a black screen is a result of insufficient CPU performance.

If everything is fine with the hardware and it meets the minimum requirements, try switching to another window (ALT+TAB), and then returning to the game window.

Warface won't install. Installation stuck

First of all, check if you have enough HDD space for installation. Remember that for the installation program to work correctly, the stated amount of space is required, plus 1-2 gigabytes of free space on the system disk. In general, remember the rule - there should always be at least 2 gigabytes of free space on the system disk for temporary files. Otherwise, both games and programs may not work correctly or may refuse to start at all.

Installation problems can also occur due to a lack of Internet connection or unstable operation. Also, do not forget to pause the antivirus while installing the game - sometimes it interferes with the correct copying of files or deletes them by mistake, considering them viruses.

Saves don't work in Warface

By analogy with the previous solution, check the availability of free space on the HDD - both on the one where the game is installed and on the system drive. Often save files are stored in a documents folder, which is located separately from the game itself.

Warface controls don't work

Sometimes game controls do not work due to multiple input devices being connected at the same time. Try disabling the gamepad or, if for some reason you have two keyboards or mice connected, keep only one pair of devices. If your gamepad does not work, then remember that games are officially supported only by controllers defined as Xbox joysticks. If your controller is detected differently, try using programs that emulate Xbox joysticks (for example, x360ce).

Sound does not work in Warface

Check if the sound works in other programs. After that, check whether the sound is muted in the game settings and whether the sound playback device to which your speakers or headset is connected is selected there. Next, while the game is running, open the mixer and check if the sound there is muted.

If you are using an external sound card, check for new drivers on the manufacturer's website.

Nobody likes it when video games lag. This especially interferes with comfortable online play. Lags can have several reasons: bad Internet or bad hardware - outdated computer components, not relevant system requirements. Our task is to identify the cause and solve it.

  • Open Control Panel => System and Security.
  • Select the “System” tab => Additional system settings => Performance.
  • In the tab that opens, click the Settings button.
  • Click on "Get the best performance".

  2. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to launch task manager.
  3. Go to the “Processes” tab.
