Detailed pattern of a dog jacket. Clothing patterns for dogs of different breeds and sizes. Elegant dress for a small dog

Now we will talk about our smaller brothers - dogs and clothes for them. None of the dog lovers will argue that clothing for them in the city has become simply necessary. After all, our pets are no longer the same descendants of wolves, they are accustomed to the warmth and dryness of apartments, and besides, these reagents are used to treat roads from ice...Today I suggest you create a pattern for the basis of overalls for a dog according to the pet’s individual sizes, with the ability to subsequently model this basis and create various models and cuts.

Let's start by taking measurements. Have you ever had to take measurements of a dog? Surely those who buy clothes for their pet and measure the basic measurements in order to know the size and not make a mistake with the choice understand how sometimes it is not easy to do this). The youngest puppies just don't want to stand still! I don’t know how you will solve this problem (maybe turn on cartoons?...), but you will have to do it. After all, you want the suit to fit!)))

So, the most important rules when taking measurements:

1. We take measurements from the dog, only in a standing position.

2. Try to measure in the widest parts

3. When determining the length of the back, it is very important that the dog stands and does not sit or lie down.

4. When removing the neck girth, be guided by the size of the collar

5. Take measurements without tightening the measuring tape too much.

6. We take measurements without allowances for loose fit, or (if you still want to take into account loose fit before construction) do not forget about this during construction! Control yourself by measuring and comparing the dimensions on the drawing with true dimensions the dogs were melting.

11. Girth hind paw

Zh1M2 (acts as a test measure)

We begin the construction by determining the height and length of our structure. We will need measurements: Back Length and Height at Withers. see fig.1

From the floor line up in straight line C, set aside the measurement Distance from the collar in front to the floor line, place point D. Here, at this stage, we will determine the width of the overalls on the side. Section of the pancreas. It is equal to - Chest girth minus Width between the front paws, divide the difference by 2. See Fig. RV = (Og-Shpl) And the distance PO, in turn, is the measure Distance from the collar to the line of the beginning of the front paw, we measured it and we have it in our table.

The OG line is the neck line, we will create smooth lines.

Next, let's start drawing out the belly line of the overalls. We divide the segment PN, along the line of the back, in half with point M. From point M, lower the perpendicular MF1 = (Ot-Shpl)/2 We connect the points LV1. From point Z we draw a straight line parallel to CH and extend it left and right, see fig. We divide the segment ZhZh1 in half by a perpendicular lowered onto the straight line Zh. We connect the point obtained when the perpendicular intersects the straight line with t.Zh and t.Zh1

We will determine the width of the panties at the bottom of the front paw for each of us according to this scheme: Wrist girth of the front paw + freedom allowance (at your discretion, from 4-6 cm depends on the fabric and processing method, for example with an elastic band) ZZ 1 = 1/2 the width of the pants at the bottom (Ozap + allowance)/2. In the drawing we distribute it in this way - from point B to the left - t. Z, IN Z= 1/3 ZZ 1, to the right - ВЗ1= 2/3 ZZ 1. Connect GZ1, ZZh with straight lines.

For better fit overalls and ease of movement, you need to design a dart. To do this, from the line drawn from T.Zh, up along straight line G, we will set aside a tuck solution of 3 cm. Its depth is calculated by the formula 3 * solution size, i.e. = 9 cm. the tuck solution, when processed, will shorten the length of the trouser leg; we must make up for it, extending it by 3 cm, in the area from point Z1 down. We design the bottom with a smooth curve, see fig.

From T. H down to the floor line we lower the perpendicular HH1. We divide the NM in half, and connect the resulting point to M1. Н1М1 = measurement Height from the floor to the base of the tail.

Width Р1Р2 from the drawing of the front leg. Р1Р2=ЗЗ1, Н1Р1=1/3 Р1Р2, Н1З2= 2/3 Р1Р2

From point P we draw a perpendicular upward, and from point Z1 a straight line parallel to the back line. Let us denote the point of intersection of straight line Ж1 and straight line НН1 as M2. From point M2 to the left, set aside a distance along the straight line Ж1 equal to the distance Н1Р2 - designate it as M21. From this point, lower down a straight line perpendicular to the floor line, to the floor line.

From the point dividing the NM in half, through the point obtained at the intersection of straight lines Ж1 and Р1, we draw a straight line until it intersects with the straight line drawn from point M21. Designate the intersection point as SK. (See Figure 8) Its location should correspond to the position of your dog's hock joint. Check and adjust if necessary.

We will connect points P1 SK and the intersection point of straight lines Ж1 and Р1 as in Figure 8.

Connect points M1 and the intersection point of lines Zh1 and P1 with a straight line. Next, adjust it by making it round, repeating the natural shape of the animal’s body. For a better fit, you need to add volume in the form of a dart, which can be converted into a gather when sewing. Along the newly drawn line from point M1, set aside 3 cm, then the solution of the dart itself is 3 cm, the depth of the dart corresponds to two solutions of the dart itself + 1-2 cm, i.e. 6-8 cm. Design the dart. see fig. 9

From point P1 down, set aside a distance equal to the tuck opening - 3 cm. This will help compensate for the length of the trouser leg after processing the dart. Decorate the bottom of the trouser leg in accordance with Figure 9.

The pattern of the lower part of the overalls is the abdomen. Draw a Rectangle with a width equal to the measurement Width between the front paws, and a length equal to the length of the segments from the overalls drawing. They are marked with a red line in the drawing. Divide the rectangle into 3 equal parts and increase its width in the places of the dividing lines, because as shown in the figure, the lines of the side parts of the rectangle should be smoothly curved, resembling the shape of a barrel. Remember to take your dog's gender into account when designing the length of the belly piece.

The inner part of the pants of the overalls is cut out separately, repeating the pattern details of the lower part of the drawing of the overalls.

Important! After constructing the base pattern for the overalls, check the drawing by measuring the width and length in sections, using appropriate measurements and comparing their values with the measurements in the sections of the pattern drawing.

This is the pattern we came up with. This dog overalls pattern is a basic one, i.e. a base pattern. It includes minimum freedom increases. With its help you can simulate various modifications of overalls on different seasons. These, for example, require almost no changes to the basic pattern.

If you have chosen other models, you just need to take into account the additional freedom of fit you need, based on the properties of the fabric, the number of layers, the thickness of the insulation... You also need to take into account the model features of the clothing, use your imagination!

And one more tip: try sewing a sample using this pattern from inexpensive fabric, where you use a marker to draw the finishing lines and eliminate any inaccuracies in the fit, if any, using pins.

Good luck and creative mood!

To sew a T-shirt for your dog, you will need to take standard measurements using a measuring tape.

Bust circumference is the circumference at the widest point chest your dog. The neck circumference must be measured where the collar is located. Length - the distance from the neck girth line to the base of the tail. Record all measurements. These are the main measurements you will need when using free dog shirt pattern and sewing. You can also scale the pattern down or up based on the size of your dog. We will sew such a mischievous T-shirt for our pet.

I recommend using lightweight, stretchable fabrics to keep your dog comfortable and comfortable. You don't have to buy fabric at the store; your old T-shirt or turtleneck can be used. You will need two pieces for the dog tank top pattern: the front and the back.

Sew the side and shoulder seams of the front and back. We make a hem for the bottom of our T-shirt. To process the neckline and armholes, you can use binding made of the same material or stretch tape, which is sold in fabric stores. We got such a cute T-shirt for our pet. The front of the shirt is slightly shorter than the back. This is due to the structure of the dog's body.

Lace, sweaters, denim jackets, boots. Until recently, it was difficult to imagine that all this could be a dog’s wardrobe. Progress in this matter is obvious: big-eared glamorous ladies in flirty dresses, graceful vests, elegant warm coats will not surprise anyone.

Would you like to go to a fashion store to get some new clothes? Why! Our hands are not for boredom. The treasured clothing pattern is not that difficult! You can sew and knit so much with your own hands that it won’t seem enough! There would be a desire.

Oh, how I want to warm up!

Before we plunge headlong into modeling, let’s discuss: is it necessary for adults who didn’t play with dolls enough in childhood? The cute little dog just begs to be on the catwalk of a child’s dream: you can dress him, put on shoes, and comb his hair as you please. He won't even bark about his preferences.

I think we shouldn’t exaggerate the importance of someone’s unfulfilled desires and aspirations. Along with them there is simple human practicality and caring. Modern dog experts say: small and short-haired dog breeds are in great need of additional “skins”. Otherwise, they simply cannot stand the changeable Russian weather.

It is no coincidence that needlewomen are so interested in ready-made clothing patterns. For small breed dogs - their own (and not only) they are ready to sew and knit day and night. Along the way, many become great fashion designers themselves! Considering that the consumption of materials is minimal, the activity is very profitable and enjoyable: your beloved four-legged animal is always “sparkling”, and creative self-realization is evident.

Selecting fabric

The most popular item in a dog's wardrobe is a walking overall. In it, funny little ones are not afraid of rain, snow, or dirt. They do not shake their whole bodies in the cold, like maple leaves in the wind, but confidently run in front of their owners, looking around cheerfully. True, a balanced approach is required. It is hardly worth dressing dogs in a “overall” unless absolutely necessary: the fur curls, falls off, and loses its appearance.

However, it is worth making sure that there is at least one (universal) clothing pattern “on the farm”. For small breed dogs, you can use it to sew everything you need. About the fabric. Preference, as a rule, is given to lightweight, water-repellent samples. Bologna, microfiber, raincoat, and rubberized are often used.

If you don’t want to overfill your chest of drawers with many original wardrobe items, sew three overalls: one will serve as a raincoat, the second as a fur coat, and the third as a windbreaker.

An important condition: your pet's clothing must have a detachable insulated layer. Lining fabric for long-haired dogs is “satin”, with a slippery surface, to avoid tangling of the coat. As a rule, it contains viscose and silk.

Making a sample for cutting

If your pet is such a small “square”, then this clothing pattern is just right for him. For small breed dogs you have to work with pinpoint precision, so take your time, measure seven times and cut once. The distance from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (AB) is the main thing. Having measured it, we divide the resulting figure by eight. We take this as a basis when marking a sheet of paper (tracing paper).

So, a grid of cells with a side equal to 1/8 AB should appear on the paper field. We reproduce the pattern by “squares”. Owners large dogs Working in a graphics editor, they can enlarge the image to the required size, print it in fragments, and then glue them together.

Fasteners may vary. In this case, Velcro is provided on the back. If your dog has short fur, you can sew in a zipper. The width of the “legs” (“sleeves” - in this case any concept will do) is adjusted using the same Velcro, elastic, cord (less convenient, but can always be made from scrap materials).

The process has started

We make two identical parts from which we make top part suit. Please note: they are one-piece (with sleeves). Cut out the gusset (insert under the armpits). We place notches along the axial (central) line of the fabric parts (a steeper curve of the back means more cutouts in the form of triangles). Don't look at the dog clothing pattern. Small breeds there are many, and there are even more little details of technology!

The edge is finished with bias tape made from the main fabric (3-3.5 cm wide) or ready-made edging tape (sold in craft departments). The facing for the fastener is a rectangle of fabric (length = AB, width = 8-10 centimeters).

Well, we learned how to make clothing patterns for dogs. Making your own wardrobe is a matter of time. In the meantime, we sit down at the sewing machine and sew the first update. Having stitched the parts, iron the darts along the seams. Turn the piece inside out and sew the sleeves. We sew the seams by hand or with an overlocker. Let's sew in the gusset. It is important to ensure that it is aligned with (in this direction the fabric is stronger). The bias tape carefully sewn on the neckline and back of the overalls gives the product a “factory look”.

Toychik, toychik! What about the bulldog?

We attach a Velcro fastener (acts on the principle of burdock) along the back and bottom of the “pants”. The new thing is ready! Decorating a jumpsuit is a matter of taste of the housewife. Develop your own clothing patterns for small breed dogs. Yorkie (Yorkshire Terrier), according to many, is a breed that is especially pleasant to dress up. An affectionate, funny dog in beautiful clothes is a cute sight.

Bulldogs are larger than terriers, but they also freeze in cold weather. They also make overalls. A blanket wouldn't hurt either. The blanket covering the back and torso does not restrict movement and is easily adjustable in size. The colored line in the last picture indicates the top of the blanket. The detail is double. Sew along the top. The ponytail loop will help secure the product.

We fasten the parts with an elastic band (there is a red square in that place in the drawing). Using it, you can adjust the opening or narrowing of the head hole. Bulldogs are "stocky". If you decide for a different breed, pay attention to the width of the body, and if necessary, reduce the base.

Ladybug

The blanket has bottom part of three parts (shown in blue paste in the picture). Put on in the manner of a “doctor’s coat” (as if you were wearing a shirt “back to front”). It wraps around the body and fastens on the back with Velcro. Cover the edge of the product with braid. Agree, this is a very exciting activity - DIY dog clothes.

Patterns, ideas - your own Model House in action. A cute cape can be crocheted with a single crochet stitch or any other tight crochet stitch. With experience, you can aim for a cute sweater. Select the yarn according to the task at hand: for a dress for a little fashionista, take cotton or silk. For a jumper - angora, soft wool. You can use a “loose” thread (profitable and economical).

Let's continue to create

Still don't know how to sew clothes for your dog with your own hands? Patterns are easy - for you. Actually, you can do without them. Nowadays, they produce a huge number of hosiery products for men, women, and children. Bright mohair, bamboo, cotton, wool, down. Let's reveal a secret: you can use them to make clothes for a small dog, since the knitwear stretches well.

And a shirt for Mosechka? It can be sewn together in just a few minutes! Where is our daughter’s or son’s old T-shirt? We will need it! We measure (just like people!) the chest girth, the length of the back (though from the place where the collar is put on to where the tail grows from). OG T-shirts should be the same. Measure the length of the product from the neckline. Cut in the manner of a “tailcoat” (the back part is longer, the front part is shorter). Round off the line. Make a border (you can just fold it and hem it).

The client is ready - you can sew

Everything that is sewn can be done with knitting needles, if you love knitting. The clothing pattern for small breed dogs is used in a similar way. Why not make a lined coat? You can knit it, sew it from leftover knitwear (don’t forget about the lining), trim it with fur, decorate it with an expressive large button (and it can be crocheted). If you have a dachshund, lengthen the pattern. Don't forget about seam allowances. Do fittings - your “customer” is always nearby.

Speaking of taxes. Many owners complain that it is difficult to find a store-bought costume for this breed. You have to sew it yourself. Vests are especially suitable for “long” people. They are easy to sew, even without tailoring skills. The vest fastens at the back. The neckline can be knitted (similar to the “collar” principle of a sweater).

The vest, equipped with straps, turns into a dog carrier if necessary. They grabbed me by the arms and carried me! That's how exciting the topic “Pattern for Dog Clothes” is! Small breeds of individuals were dressed up. It seems that many people are thinking: what if, contrary to the advice of dog handlers, we sew a jumpsuit for a Doberman?

An owner who takes care of his pet pays attention not only to nutrition, physical activity and the health of the dog, but also strives to protect it from cold and rain, as well as to dress it in accordance with fashion trends for pets. A brightly and tastefully dressed dog lifts the mood of both its owners and the people around them. And if the owner also masters the art of sewing, then the task becomes much easier. All you need to do is purchase the necessary fabric and find suitable clothing patterns for dogs - you can create your entire wardrobe with your own hands, from raincoats to festive dresses.

When choosing clothing patterns for dogs, you need to pay attention first of all to:

  1. Different dog breeds have different body proportions. For example, a Stafford and a poodle may be approximately the same size, but clothes sewn from a pattern for a poodle will be too small in the chest for a Stafford. Therefore, clothes for pets are often made to order according to individual measurements.
  2. Don't forget that clothes for a dog should first and foremost be comfortable. Therefore, pay attention not only to the beauty of the clothing, because manufacturers primarily sew clothes, oddly enough, for the owners, in accordance with the fashion of the dog world.

You can also sew shoes for a dog, but it is worth noting that not all dogs immediately accept shoes on their paws. This may take time.

Raincoat

In rainy weather, a raincoat will come in handy in your dog's wardrobe. Made from waterproof fabric, the raincoat with a hood will protect your dog's fur from getting wet and dirty during a walk.

  1. We cut the fabric for the raincoat.
  2. We cut two parts of the hood. We sew them together, sew on the lace gathered on the thread.
  3. We also sew lace along the entire edge of the cloak.
  4. We sew the hood and body, you can decorate it with applique.
  5. Add Velcro fasteners.
  6. The cloak is ready!

By reducing or enlarging the pattern, you can sew a raincoat for Yorkshire Terrier, and for the Great Dane.

Universal jumpsuit pattern

This overalls pattern is called universal because by making small adjustments, it is easy to form another pattern from it and your pet will have another wardrobe item - for example, a jacket.

  1. For sewing, you will need to measure the length of the back. It is removed from the base of the neck to the root of the tail.
  2. We divide the length of the back by 8 and get the side of the square of the dimensional grid on which the pattern is constructed.
  3. By changing the length and volume of the legs (when trying on), we adjust them to the parameters of your pet.
  4. Part 2 is a wedge that is sewn between the front legs with the narrow end.

Warm jacket

Next up is a warm jacket for the dog. Here is her pattern.

In the picture:

  1. Edging for the bottom. Size 2*2.5 inches.
  2. Cuffs. Need 2 pieces, size 1.5*2.5 inches.
  3. Collar. Measures 7 inches high and should be as long as pattern.
  4. It is better to cut these parts from stretch.
  5. Fold the cuff and neck pieces in half and sew them together.
  6. The result is a part as in the photo.
  7. We bend the fabric of the main part in the middle and cut it according to this. We unfold it, make sure that the part is symmetrical and return it to starting position. Sew along the line in the second picture.
  8. Sew on the piping, cuffs and neckline.

Harness

A soft harness for a Chihuahua is one of the easiest to make.

  1. Using the pattern, we cut 4 pieces from denim, mesh, padding polyester or fleece and lining.
  2. We sew the applique to the mesh and denim.
  3. We sew all the parts together and trim the edge with bias tape.
  4. Sew the fastener straps to the harness.

Dog bed

In addition to clothes, for pet You can also sew a comfortable lounger.

1. We start by constructing a pattern. For dogs different sizes it is advisable to do and sleeping place more or less.

2. We cut the fabric according to our pattern, not forgetting about the seam allowances.

3. Sew the side. This is what it looks like when finished.

In cold, inclement weather, our four-legged friends You can’t do without comfortable, functional clothes. suffers from wind and bad weather, and freezes quickly in winter.

Detailed instructions will help you knit a good outfit for a small dog.

Accurate measurements

When creating clothes for your pet with your own hands, you should adhere to the main rules in determining the size of parts:

  • all measurements from the dog are taken standing, in the widest parts of the body;
  • back length is the distance from the withers to the tail;
  • the collar can be used to determine the volume of the neck;
  • The chest is measured behind the front legs.

When cutting fabric, you should add 1.2 cm - reserve for a spacious style of clothing and seams. It should not rub the skin or hinder movement. For knitting, you will need to take measurements corresponding to the chosen outfit.

Constructing a pattern

Comfortable, beautiful clothes designed and sewn with your own hands for a small dog will require time and patience.

It is most convenient to use the diagram marked with squares:

  1. Transfer the selected pattern to graph paper and cut it out.
  2. Place the finished parts on the fabric.
  3. Cut patterns from fabric.
  4. Your cutting should be done leaving a seam allowance (1-2 cm), taking into account the thickness of the material.
  5. The resulting elements are stitched together.
  6. Process the sleeves and neckline.

Many patterns include instructions on how to properly adjust the size to the animal.

When connecting all the resulting parts, it is necessary to take into account the addition of zippers, buttons, buttons - it is more convenient to place these accessories under the dog’s belly or on the back. Sometimes Velcro or lacing may be required.

The tailored, sewn product is tried on the baby, the places for the neckline, belly, and tail are marked. Along the edge of the neckline or trouser leg (for overalls), you need to sew an elastic band or lacing. Decorate the outfit with various accessories and pockets.

The simplest model for sewing, which does not require special skills, is a blanket. To make it, you can use any scarf, folding it into a triangle. Sew a loop to one edge, a button or Velcro to the other.

You can place a belt in the middle so that the blanket holds well. The outfit is ready in a few minutes, for any time of year, depending on the density of the material.

Knitting clothes

Magazines and the Internet offer patterns describing knitting outfits for small dogs: sleeveless vest, blanket, sweater, jacket, overalls and other types of outfits.

For this you will need: written instructions, a crochet hook, knitting needles, and a measuring tape. You should decide on the model and type of clothing. Crocheting will please the owner, and the dog will enjoy an elegant openwork blouse or dress.

Instructions

The knitting process begins from the neck to the tail. A certain number of loops are cast on along the width of the collar. We knit it if it is provided for in the model.
Having received the desired length of the collar, the loops are closed on both sides. Leave 2.3 cm, then move to the back. Loops are cast on both sides of this strip.

We knit a smooth fabric up to the beginning of the legs. Then the loops are shortened, leaving the middle of the back. It is tied to the tail and the edge of the outline is buried.

The collar is sewn in the middle, then the body. The product is being tried on. The remaining part from the neck to the body is tied, and the breast is closed.

The next detail is the back pants. We knit and sew to the notch outside, the inner one remains free.
We knit the front sleeves the same as for humans, calculating the size of the animal.

Knitting a good quality outfit for your pet is a great pleasure.

  • Sewing and knitting for a small dog does not require much time or expense. The activity can become a hobby that will bring joy to the owner, and attention and replenishment of the pet’s wardrobe.
